Kendal Callison Kendal Callison has over than 16 years' experience in the field of HR with global activities as a primary specialty. She has an executive MBA from Royal Roads University in Victoria, B.C., having done her thesis on European employment relationships. Callison has lived and worked in Canada, the United States and Europe, and led HR efforts in those areas as well as Asia-Pacific and Latin America.
Her experience includes union and non-union environments in both public and private organizations. She has worked in the tourism, information technology, chemical manufacturing and consulting industries and has extensive leadership and project management experience. Speaking engagements include the topics of international employment law, realities of working internationally, global HR in the new millennium, exporting and the software industry and cultural challenges of working internationally. From 2003 to 2005, Callison served as the International HR Director on SHRM's Washington State Council Board, is a founding member of the Pacific Northwest's Global HR Consortium and has been a member of SHRM's Global HR Expertise panel since 2007.
Rich Doherty Rich Doherty has over the past twenty-five years held executive positions in a diverse array of industries. His experience includes managing Human Resources for a global medical technology company, leading consumer marketing for a super regional bank and successfully running two companies.
In the medical device and clinical information organization, Rich guided the Human Resource function through two plant closures and relocations, two mergers and a major restructuring of the sales force. Through careful program design and a sophisticated communication effort there was minimal loss of key employees and no negative impact on bottom line results. At the same firm Rich initiated a complete redesign of the firm’s extensive technical and sales training programs that resulted in a significant drop in turnover and improved productivity.
At one of the nations leading specialty retailers Rich managed training and development for a diverse workforce that included sales, manufacturing, and executive personnel. In conjunction with the company President he developed a successful assessment and career development program for company managers and executives that significantly enhanced career satisfaction and loyalty among company managers.
Rich’s years of experience as a general manager give him the ability to tie organizational development efforts to bottom line results and stakeholder value. As general manager of North America’s largest kiosk based media company he implemented a new strategic planning and sales force development program that resulted in a complete turn-around of company sales, profits and market share. Rich graduated from Georgetown University in Washington DC. He holds numerous certifications for management development training as well as extensive training in Total Quality Management and Statistical Process Control methodologies.Stace Rudd Stace Rudd is an HR/OD executive with over 25 years of leadership experience with companies ranging from global Fortune 500 organizations such as Philips Healthcare, Coca-Cola and Weyerhaeuser, to smaller emerging firms such as Loud Technologies or Furon. He is currently the Vice-president of Organizational Consulting with the Brighton Group, where he works with a wide variety of organizations to help them have better human experiences, which achieve better business outcomes.
Stace has a BS degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University and has attended advanced workshops with the USC Center for Effective Organizations, and the University of Kentucky’s lean manufacturing program. One of the leadership programs his team developed at Philips received national awards from both Bersin & Associates and the American Society of Training and Development.
Stace believes that organizations are perfectly designed to produce exactly the results they are getting, and the culture that they have. If an organization wants different results or a different culture, they need to consider different organizational design, which is best achieved by a holistic understanding of the human capital variables that work within organizations, cultures and systems.
Stace employs authentic experience, insightful observation and a storytelling style to coach and mentor people at all levels. Among the “authentic experiences” that he draws from are: his international experience, having lived in Germany and Japan, and having worked with Dutch, German and Italian organizations; extensive work with dozens of mergers, acquisitions and new business launches; his adventures as chief negotiator for Coke’s Teamster contracts; a long history of volunteer work with church and youth groups; a 1972 240Z he is restoring; his experiences growing up and working on his family’s ranch in Idaho (he still helps his veterinarian father work cattle); and most importantly, the joys and challenges of raising his 5 kids in Woodinville, WA, with Sharon, his wife of 35 years.
Leehu Zysberg Leehu Zysberg earned his BA and MA in psychology at the University of Tel Aviv, Israel and specialized in I/O psychology, focusing on personnel selection, HR management practices, performance assessment and more. He served as an HR executive in a few international organizations and later specialized in training development.
He earned his PhD in I/O Psychology from the University of Haifa and completed his post-doc work at Seattle University, where he also taught for 4 years. During the same period he also taught at LWTC. Today he is an Assistant Professor at the dept. of Psychology , Tel Hai academic College in Israel & the University of Haifa. Married to Anna and father to Yoav (6) & Noam (3).
