Page 2 What are Group Values? ______

 They are the set of guiding principles, standards and actions that people in a group consider inherently worthwhile, and of the utmost importance, not to be compromised for financial gain or short-term expediency.

 They include how people treat each other and how they conduct their business; they give direction (often silently) to the hundreds of decisions made at all levels of an organization every day. Options that run counter to an organization’s value system are seldom considered.

 They can help us understand and describe how we plan to work with each other, and our stakeholders.

 They are integral to success in high-performing organizations. Core values and a core purpose remain fixed while the business strategies and practices adapt to a changing world.
