 Agent working for HDFC Bank as sales representative and involved in providing car loans to the customers by arranging forged documents arrested.

 3 I-10 Cars, laptop, pen drive, HP printer-cum-scanner, etc. recovered.

Staff of PS Mehrauli, South District has arrested accused Naveen s/o Niranjan Shah r/o C-502, JVTS Garden, Chhattarpur Extension, New Delhi who was arranging car loans from HDFC Bank on forged documents. With his arrest, 3 I-10 cars, laptop (make Sony), pen drive, HP printer-cum-scanner, 3 forged pen cards and 6 forged driving licenses have been recovered.

INCIDENT :

On 29.03.12, SI Pradeep Rawat along with staff while conducting evening patrolling in the area, received a secret information that occupant of an I-10 car (bearing Regn. No. DL-2C-AM-6686) would pass through the Mehrauli Bus Terminal who had procured that vehicle by taking loan on forged documents. Immediately, the patrolling party started keeping close watch on the moving vehicles. At about 4.40 PM, the patrolling party intercepted an I-10 car near Mehrauli Bus Terminal. The driver of the car was identified as Naveen s/o Niranjan Shah r/o C-502, JVTS Garden, Chhattarpur Extension, New Delhi. The police team asked him to produce the documents of the vehicle. On this, Naveen told that the vehicle is registered in the name of his wife Momita Shah and produced a photocopy of RC in which Momita Shah w/o Sunil Vats was mentioned. When police team asked him that being husband of Momita Singh, why his name was not mentioned in the RC, he could not give any satisfactory reply. On his search, 3 PAN Cards and 6 Driving licenses having his photographs with different names and addresses were recovered from his possession. After sustained interrogation, Naveen disclosed that he has obtained the loan from HDFC Bank by using forged documents and procured the said car in his wife’s name. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 144/12 dated 29/03/12 u/s 419/467/471/474 IPC PS Mehrauli was registered and further investigation was taken up.

INVESTIGATION :

In order to arrest his accomplices and to recover his laptop and other equipments used in printing the forged documents, a team comprising SI Pardeep Rawat, ASI Ravi Shankar Tyagi and Ct. Jaiveer under the leadership of Inspr. Pankaj Singh, SHO/Mehrauli and under the supervision of Sh. Rajender Singh, ACP/Mehrauli was constituted. During the course of investigation, the police team recovered 2 more I-10 Cars (registered in the name of other persons and allegedly purchased by obtaining loans on forged documents from HDFC Bank), one laptop (make Sony), a pen drive, a printer-cum- scanner (make HP) and some forged documents at the instance of accused from his house.

During investigation, it has also been revealed that accused Naveen also facilitated one Kapil Bharti s/o Jagdish Bharti r/o G-1, Chhatarpur Extension, New Delhi for getting the car loan sanctioned on forged documents. When the police team visited the above address, it was found that no such person in the name of Kapil Bharti ever reside at the above address. A list of 10 other vehicles has been provided by the HDFC Bank in which some documents have been identified as forged and loan has already been sanctioned to the applicants. Further investigation is on and assistance of bank officials is being sought to identify more such frauds and recovery of vehicles.

MODUS OPERANDI :

During interrogation, accused has disclosed that he used to contact the persons who are in need of car loan but are unable to get the same in the absence of certain documents such as address proof, ITR, etc. When the loan seeker asks him to arrange for the car loan, he checks all the documents available with the applicant such as his age proof, residence proof, income tax returns, account statements etc. and if any documents is not available with him, he would prepare the same by scanning the document from his scanner-cum-printer and would edit the required information on that document in his laptop. After that he would file his application in the bank to get his documents verified and sanction of loan. He used to charge Rs. 10,000/- from the applicant after getting the loan sanctioned. Accused further disclosed that generally the income tax returns and bank statements are not being verified by the verifying agency of the banks. Only physical presence of the applicant and his address are verified by the agency and hence, the loan gets sanctioned from the bank.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED :

Naveen s/o Niranjan Shah r/o C-502, JVTS Garden, Chhattarpur Extension, New Delhi is graduated from West Bengal. He originally belongs to District East Champaran, Bihar. He is married and has one son. He works as a loan agent for the last 4 years for HDFC Bank. Earlier, he has also worked as a verification agent for a bank. In order to make fast money, he started arranging car loans on the basis of forged documents to the needy persons who were seeking car loan.

RECOVERIES :

1. 3 PAN Cards with different names and addresses bearing photographs of the accused. 2. 6 driving licenses with different names and addresses bearing photographs of the accused. 3. SENSATIONAL KIDNAPPING CASE OF TURKMAN GATE SOLVED WITHIN 24 HOURS: ABDUCTED PERSON RESCUED FROM MORADABAD (U.P.)

With the arrest of four accused persons namely (1.) Rais Khan aged about 48 years S/o Wahid Khan R/o H.No. 124, Ward No.6, Thakurdwara, Distt. Moradabad, U.P. (2.) Shakir Ali aged about 40 years S/o Sabir Ali R/o Ward No. 24 Mohalla Fatulla Ganj, Thakurdwara, Distt. Muradabad, U.P. (3.) Rehman aged about 45 years S/o Mohd. Ahmed R/o H.No. 855, Haveli Azam Khan, Chitli Qabar, Chandni Mahal, Delhi, (4.) Farooq Ali aged about 35 years S/o Shokat Ali R/o H.No. 519, Gali Matia Mahal, Jama Masjid, Delhi, Central District Police has solved a sensational kidnapping case within 24 hours. Incident :-

On 30-03-12, complainant Nadir Shah S/o Mohd. Nazim R/o 2278, third floor, Shankar Gali, Turkman Gate, Delhi reported that his maternal uncle namely Rehan Khan (27 years) was kidnapped in the intervening night of 29/30-03-12 by some unknown persons. On this, a case vide FIR No. 43/12 Dated. 30-03-12, U/s 365 IPC was got registered at PS Chandni Mahal & investigation of the case was taken up. Team & Investigation:-

A team consisting of Inspr. Satender Mohan SHO/Chandni Mahal, Inspr. Vinod Kumar Inspr. Investigation/PS Chandni Mahal, SI Parmod, SI Yashpal Singh I/C PP Turkman Gate, HC Shyam Sunder, Ct. Jag Pravesh & Ct. Rakesh were constituted under the close supervision of Sh. Om Prakash ACP/Darya Ganj, Delhi.

During the investigation it was reveled that the five accused persons namely Rais Khan, Shakir Ali, Saleem, Rehman & Farooq had kidnapped the victim at about 10.00 pm on 29.03.2012 from Shankar Gali near Delhi Police Bhawan & had whisked him away in a Maruti 800 car No. DL-3CN- 6672. They took the victim to Thakurdwara, Distt. Moradabad, U.P. and confined the victim and pressurized the victim to return them that money which they had given him for providing job abroad.

During further investigation with the help of technical surveillance & human intelligence, a raid was conducted at the house of accused Rais Khan R/o H.No. 124, ward No.6, Thakurdwara, Distt. Moradabad, U.P. from where from the victim was recovered and two accused namely Rais Khan & Shakir Ali were apprehended from there. At the instance of accused Rais Khan & Shakir Ali another co- accused namely Rehman & Farooq were also arrested & Maruti Car 800 No. DL-3CN-6672 used in the commission of the crime has been recovered from the possession of accused Farooq.

Rehman aged about 45 years S/o Mohd. Ahmed R/o H.No. 855, Haveli Azam Khan, Chitli Qabar, Chandni Mahal, Delhi. He is a relative of Rais Khan and a builder by profession.

NOTORIOUS PICKPOCKTER ARRESTED FROM THE AREA OF PS KAMLA MARKET: 60 EXPENSIVE MOBILE PHONES WORTH RUPEE FOUR LAKHS OF DIFFERENT MAKE RECOVERED FROM THE ACCUSED.

INTRODUCTION:

With the arrest of accused Jile singh S/o Bhaktaver Singh R/o AB-55, Amar Puri,Ram Nagar Nabi Karim ,New Delhi age 30 years, the central Distt police has busted a gang of notorious pickpockets active in and around the New Delhi Railway station. Credible information was received that a gang of pickpocket is active in the area of Ajmeri gate and this gang mostly operate in running buses starting from Ajmeri gate bus stand.

INCIDENT, TEAM AND INVESTIGATION:

For the last few days, it had come to notice that a gang involved in pick pocketing activities in running buses is active in the buses plying from Ajmeri Gate to various destination.

In order to nab this gang, a team of police station Kamla Market consisting of ASI Puran Chand, HC Shyam , Ct. Arun, and Ct Dara under the leadership of Inspr. Pramod Joshi, SHO, PS Kamla Market and under the close supervision of Sh. Ram Kumar, ACP/Kamla Market was formed.

The team developed its sources and thereafter received feedback from the informers. The information was further developed and it was found that one of the active member of this gang namely Jile singh S/o Bhaktaver Singh R/o AB-55, Amar Puri,Ram Nagar Nabi Karim ,New Delhi would be coming to Ajmeri gate chowk. A trap was laid and on 31/03/12 at around 10.30 PM near Ajmeri gate. Jile Singh was spotted and apprehended. He was found to be carrying a hand bag and during the search of his bag, 60 expensive mobile phone of various makes was recovered. The accused was arrested U/s 103 DP Act and the case property was taken into possession

INTERROGATION:

The accused was put to sustained interrogation during which he admitted that he is an important member of Vishal gang, which is involved in pick pocketing. The accused is an important member of this gang and is a “Thekbaaz” where his role is to distract the unsuspecting victim and pass on the stolen items to other members of the gang. The accused has his own house at Nabi Karim. He is married with 3 children,

ONE GIRL RESCUED FROM GB ROAD One girl namely Namrata ( name changed) was rescued from GB road:

INTRODUCTION:

One girl Namrata R/o Vill. Nimpith, PS JoyNagar, 24 Pargana South, WB aged 24 years was rescued from kotha No-55, GB road where she has been confined for last 1 month.

INCIDENT, TEAM AND INVESTIGATION:

On 31/03/12 Sh. Subir from Shakti Vahini NGO came to PS Kamla Market and reported that he had information that one girl who is missing from PS Joy Nagar, 24 Pargana South, WB is confined in Kotha No-55, On this information a team consisting of SI Jagdish, HC Rahul, W/Ct Mamta under the leadership of Inspr. Pramod Joshi, SHO, PS Kamla Market was formed. The team alongwith the members of NGO raided Kotha No-55 and rescued the Girl Namrata. The girl was got medically examined and sent to short stay home. The intimation has been given to West Bengal police.

INTERROGATION:

On interview, the victim girl stated that she is the resident of Vill. Nimpith, PS JoyNagar, 24 Pargana South, WB and is married. Her husband works as a labour. She was working as a domestic help. She met with a person named Bhappi who lured her for the better job prospects in Delhi and brought her to Delhi.

Here, she was sold to one kotha owner. When she did not reach home, her husband lodged a missing report of her. The victim girl had somehow managed to contact the NGO and on their information, she was got rescued.

A case FIR No-240/12, U/s 363/372/373/376/109/34 IPC and various section of ITP act is registered at PS Joy Nagar 24 Pargana West Bengal.
