Emergency Management Graduate Student Jacksonville State University Institute for Emergency Preparedness
Mario D’Angelo currently serves as the Emergency Management Program Officer for the City of Ottawa Paramedic Service, and represents the Service on the City of Ottawa’s Office of Emergency Management Working Group. He has been involved in varying capacities on several important City emergency management projects including municipal evacuation planning, CBRNE project, and the USAR project. He serves as an EMS Service Coach (Instructor) for both the English and French Emergency Site Management and Emergency Operations Center Management courses given at the Canadian Emergency Management College. Mario has over 12 years of experience as a Supervisor at the Ottawa Central Ambulance Communications Center and was a volunteer firefighter for 8 years.
Mario has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Carleton University and has completed the Applied Management program of study from Algonquin College. He has completed the ICS train-the-trainer course at EMI, and is also a certified by the Province of Ontario as a Basic Emergency Management Instructor. Currently, Mario is a graduate student at Jacksonville State University and his intent is to graduate from the Master of Science in Emergency Management Program.
Mario will be delivering a presentation on the disaster systems approach to emergency management.
