BV Tigerette Booster Club: 2017/2018

The BV Tigerette Booster Club exists for the sole purpose of supporting and promoting the BVHS Tigerette Dance Team and the program.

Meeting Location: Thursday, May 18th at 7:00PM BVHS Library 6001 W. 159th Street, Stilwell, KS 66085

a. Shearon – for working on the upcoming welcome spirit packet for the new team, spirit website, and spirit designs b. Ro & Rebecca – Sponsoring and delivering the congratulations yard signs for all 2017- 2018 Tigerettes

III. Treasurer Report - Rebecca

a. 501c3 Status b. Total Raised last year was approximately $9000, with the biggest money raisers being the Tiny Tigerette Clinic, carwash, sponsorship posters, and Sonic car hop c. How to submit a reimbursement request – the form is online c.i. Debit Card is also available upon request c.ii. We plan to seek out donations from places such as Walmart, Costco and Sam’s

IV. Committees

a. Confirm committees and openings - Jamie shared information about the confirmation of those people who have already signed up to chair committees, as well as the openings that are still available. She will be sending an email out soon. b. Committee Email Accounts - Jamie also explained the BV Dance Team email accounts that can be used by each committee to make sharing information easier. This will be sent out, as well. c. Committee Updates c.i. Communication - Send email blurb, link, and attachment to communication chair a week before you want the info to run. Need all three to get information out. c.ii. Sponsorship Poster – Reyell & Sheila c.ii.a. Sponsors will be contacted from last year, as well as seeking out new businesses/individuals c.ii.b. Pricing will be determined regarding the levels and where their sponsorship will be listed c.ii.c. Photographers will be contacted c.iii. Dine to Donate – Lisa F. c.iii.a. Sonic Car Hop date is July 9th from 2PM-5PM (all girls must be there!) c.iv. Carwash – Debbie, Georgia & Lisa F. c.iv.a. Carwash date has been set for September 10th 11AM-3PM (all girls must be present from 11:30-2:30) at 151st Price Chopper parking lot c.iv.b. Donations for towels, soap, buckets, etc. will be gathered. Also considering requesting donations from the new Westlake Hardware Store.

c.v. Social – Rosemarie

c.v.a. Pool Party – Monday, May 22nd 12PM-3PM. A flyer was passed out regarding the details of the party. c.v.b. Katie provided some potential ideas for future socials, based on the girls’ end of the year feedback (for example: a Royals game, aerial silks)

c.vi. Spirit - Shearon & Beth

c.vi.a. Camp – discussed a camp theme of 80’s c.vi.b. Locker Magnets – talked about wanting a nice personalized, sturdy one for at the beginning of the year. The cost will be approximately $10-$12/locker magnet, and we will need to replace last year’s missing ones, personalize the ones we still have from last year, and purchase new personalized ones for the new 2017-2018 Tigerettes. c.vi.c. The spirit committee requested a budget. $35 per game was discussed. c.vi.d. A new website has been formed that will sell BV Dance spirit wear for the girls and parents. There will be clothing and other fun items for sale on the website through December 31, 2017. Tigerettedance2017.itemorder.com
