2 0 1 5 - 2 0 1 6 V I S I O N S for L E A R N I N G A Program for School Educators ~ South Beloit GUIDELINE SHEET The goal of Ecolab’s grant program for school educators (teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators and other licensed staff) is to encourage and reward individual educators’ creativity and innovation in classroom learning by providing opportunities that will motivate and challenge students intellectually, raise student achievement, as well as increase their understanding of academic content and the connection between school and life.

The program provides materials and resources through grants typically ranging from $500 to $3,000 to educators in communities surrounding Ecolab facilities. There are limited funds available, so applications that closely follow the guidelines will be given greater consideration. . Funds are available for purchase of materials that will increase student understanding of academic content . The proposal must be student interactive and improve thinking skills . Materials requested must be part of a curriculum plan (e.g., software to help meet specific learning goals) . Funds/Materials purchased will be the property of the school

What will not be funded: Computers, laptops, Smart Boards, iPads/Tablets, staff or substitute time, professional development, Ecolab product donations, or projects that do not directly impact students will not be funded. We do not prefer to fund computer software or hardware. If you are applying for technology equipment, software or on-line subscriptions, please include specific information on how it will impact student achievement. Application information: Please answer each question. Supplemental materials are not necessary. Please note, APPLICATION MUST BE TYPED AND ONLY ONE APPLICATION PER EDUCATOR WILL BE ACCEPTED. If you are submitting a collaborative application, please note that so the review committee doesn’t mistake it for a duplicate application.

Deadline: Proposals must be received at Ecolab by 4:00 PM March 16, 2015, whether hand- delivered, mailed through the postal service, faxed, or emailed. Applicants will receive award notice by mail in late April and funds will be awarded in May during a recognition luncheon.
