Sunkoshi River Rafting- Probably the best Long rafting trip in Nepal, Sunkoshi River Rapids are really BreathTaking, SunKoshi meaning ‘River of Gold’ its life begins in Shisapangma, the 10th highest peak in the world in Tibet(Amazing Right?). This big river is being rated one of the best river rafting trips in the world and listed as ‘must do while visiting in Nepal’ and runs downwards to Nepal through Nepal’s most unspoiled place draining the highest mountains before it emerges in plants to join Ganga River in India. The Big Judy rapids rafts is 270km in warm water, no roads or towns, Elegant scenery and great night Fire camping make this trip a classic multi-day river trip and one of the most enjoyable too. A unique and an excellent experience of wilderness trip for Newcomers or advanced kayakers. Rafters should be reasonably fit and comfortable on big water cause it's current is counted as one of the most thrilling rapids in the world.

The Sun Koshi is used for both rafting and intermediate kayaking. It has grade 3 to 4 rapids. The most common put in the point of the Sun trip is , at a height of 620 m and it ends at the at 115m covering a distance of around 272 kilometres. The Sun Koshi River, also known as the “River of Gold”, is considered to be one of the top ten best rafting/kayaking rivers in the world. A 10-day rafting trip starting from Dolalghat is of medium difficulty and not for beginners. On day 5 at Raighat, there is the option for a days trek to an amazing viewpoint of Mt Everest. Day to Day Itinerary Day 1 Drive(3 hrs) to Dolalghat(put in point). Short raft to camp at Tarang Gaun. Stay overnight at tented camp

We'll drive to Dolalghat by private bus very comfortably which may be approximately 3 hours journey from Kathmandu. Dolalghat best known as put in point as it makes people experience the real thrill of rafting in the high and rapid current of river flow. We're definitely not rafting the whole day, after a short raft we'll pin our camp to Tarang Gaun and can have campfire night on our own.

Day 2 6 hrs rafting to campsite at Khunkot. Stay overnight at tented camp.

Our 2nd day will start with rafting to the campsite at khunkot. It will be 6 hours long raft so everyone must be prepared for it. It'll definitely be fun but more than that again today there will be staying at Dumja village. As previously we'll stay there for the night delve around the mountains.

Day 3 5 hrs rafting to campsite at Likhu Khola. Stay overnight at tented camp.

Our 3rd day of Sunkoshi is also Gonna be fun, we'll raft for 5 hours long in the Likhu Khola (River) experiencing the real thrill of rafting in Likhu River. The path to choose is straight through the middle avoiding holes on either side of the river. A few kilometres down and the confluence of the Tama Koshi (River of Copper) and Sun Koshi are encountered on our way. As 5-hour long raft is really long, we'll have to take rest at the nearest village with campfire obviously.

Day 4 6 hrs rafting to campsit at Harkapur Village. Stay overnight at tented camp.

Again after a warm morning and healthy Breakfast, we'll raft from Likhu Khola to Bank of Harkapur village for about 6 hours. The valley flow here is changing in terms of the river's width and flow of the river due to the climate. At Bat Cave tunnel, the crew takes the rapid seriously and everyone should, Discovery World Trekking makes sure of every possible safety measures. The size of the rapids and current on this river will definitely surprise you. Here people of the ethnic group Newars and others always wait to see the adventurers pass by cause to see people raft is also a kinda thrill. Floating down after lunch, the water splashes across the boat but the waves are no threat, so don't worry about that. Later, a nice stretch of sandy beach will be chosen for the campsite for the overnight stay.

Day 5 6 hrs rafting to campsite at Rai Ghat. Stay overnight at tented camp.

Who doesn't like rafting when you book your rafting trip, yet again a long 6-hour raft. Rafting from Harkapur lets you face with IV class rapids as you enter the chest of the Dudhkoshi River. Amidst the exotic eco-system and natural vistas, the river gets huge below the Dudhkoshi and flow through a broad valley after mellowing down to the river. while comparing with Sunkoshi, Dudhkoshi is much colder(it's cold). After passing through thrilling rapids like Rapid Punch, Judy, etc. With this, our day will come to an end.

Day 6 6 hrs rafting to campsite at Bander Ghat. Stay overnight at tented camp.

With Hot breakfast and energy in our body, we'll start our day with 6 hours raft again. This time we'll raft from Rai Ghat to Bander Ghat taking as much thrill as we can cause rafting is all about rapids and thrills. On way, we can see beautiful sandy beaches but all comes down when we are rafting on such Judy Rapid Punch. OverNight we'll stay in the best possible river bank at Bander Ghat.

Day 7 6 hrs rafting to campsite at Bonjur Ghat. Stay overnight at tented camp.

It'll be used to raft for 6 hours again which we'll start right after our Hot and Warm Breakfast from Bander Ghat. We'll head towards Bonjur Ghat and stay overnight with campfire as the rest of the day.

Day 8 6 hrs rafting to campsite at Barahchhatra. Stay overnight at tented camp.

Again Today with the rising sun and cold splashes of water, we'll have our breakfast and go for Thrill. A 6-hour raft on our 2nd last day of the trip, it's definitely going to be awesome as more than the raft campsite at BarahChhatra is amazing after a long 6 hours raft from Bonjur Ghat to Barahchhatra itself. with the campfire,

Day 9 Short raft to Chatra then drive to Kathmandu. Stay overnight at hotel.

Sad to say but this will be our last rafting day and a bit short too. We'll raft from Barahchhatra to Chatra and after reaching to the bank of the river, we'll take some rest and drive towards Kathmandu. Overnight stay in Hotel (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) and Next morning if you want we can arrange another amazing trip for you. How your Journey will Start Towards SunKoshi River Rafting You will arrive in Nepal, Kathmandu at Tribhuwan International Airport as that is the only international airport. An overnight stay in a hotel in Kathmandu is required upon the arrival. The next day we will be travelling to our destination via bus or a local jeep.

Don't Worry Transportation Is Included In Package We provide free airport pickup and drop by private vehicle. Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our Discovery world trekking crew with a traditional offering of Khada or marigolds garland (symbolizing purity, goodwill, auspiciousness and compassion), then directly transfer you to your hotel. To make use of this service please submit full flight details of arrival and departure in advance by mail.

Money exchange You can exchange most foreign currencies through the banks and through the money exchanges. Money exchangers are also legitimate.
