B3 St. Thomas CE Primary School, Kenyons Lane, Lydiate The Committee asked the Working Group to consider using B4 Green Park Primary School, Green Lane, the Punch Bowl Public House or the Ye Olde Bowling Club B5 Maghull High School (Formerly Maghull Primary School), (existing Polling Station) or a temporary Polling Station. Ormonde Drive, Maghull Sefton Parish Council wrote to advise the Working Group B6 Maghull High School (Formerly Maghull Primary School), Ormond that they did not agree the proposal that Sefton Parish voters Drive, Maghull should use the Polling Station at Maghull High School. The Parish Council preferred the use of the Pavilion next to the Punch Bowl Public House. Lydiate Parish Council wrote to advise that it would like to retain the existing Polling Stations. The Working Group considered the representations but decided not to accept the representations from the Area Committee or Sefton Parish Council in view of the costs associated with using the Public House, the Pavilion or a temporary Polling Station.

Polling Working Groups Recommendations as to Location of Polling Comments Received District Stations A1 St. Georges RC Primary School, Dennett Close, Maghull The Area committee supported the proposed location of A2 St. Georges Social Club, Station Road, Maghull Polling Stations, but indicated that they did not support the use A3 St. Andrews Maghull CE Primary School, Damfield Lane, Maghull of Summerhill Primary School (one of the suggestions put forward for Polling District A2). The Maghull Parish Council A4 Methodist Hall, Liverpool Road North, Liverpool Road North, supported the proposals including either the use of the Social Maghull Club or Primary School in respect of Polling District A2. The A5 Northway Primary School (Juniors) Dodds Lane, Maghull Working Group agreed to accept the representations in respect A6 Northway Primary School (Juniors) Dodds, Lane, Maghull of Polling District A2.

Polling Working Groups Recommendations as to Location of Polling Comments Received District Stations C1 The Chesterfield, Prescot Road, Melling The Area Committee supported the proposed locations of C2 Melling Primary School, Wheeler Drive, Melling Polling Stations with the exception of the proposals in C3 United Reformed Church Hall, Northway, Maghull Polling Districts C1, C2 and C5. The Area Committee asked C4 Youth Club, Oriel Drive, Aintree the Working Group to consider introducing a third Polling C5 Aintree Davenhill Primary School, Aintree Lane, Aintree Station at The Tithebarn and that the properties located in and C6 Aintree Davenhill Primary School, Aintree Lane, Aintree around Sentinel Way, Aintree should vote at an additional Polling Station at Aintree Racecourse in respect of Polling District C5. Melling Parish Council indicated it would prefer the use of existing Polling Stations and Aintree Parish Council indicated it supported the proposals, but wanted another Polling Station for parishioners living in Sentinel Way. The Working Group considered the representations, but as the proposals involved the use of additional Polling Stations over and above the one per Polling District ratio they were not minded to support the proposals. The Working Group expressed the view that it could not accept the proposals as in all other areas of the Borough, it had designated, in accordance with its methodology, one Polling Station per Polling District. It was suggested that, given the costs per voter of an additional Polling Station serving a small number of voters, that a letter should be sent to the households concerned inviting them to vote by post in future. Polling Working Groups Recommendations as to Location of Polling Comments Received District Stations P1 Primary School, Watchyard Lane, Formby The Area Committee supported the proposed location of P2 Our Lady of Compassion Catholic Primary, Bull Cop, Formby Polling Stations. The Parish Council indicated P3 Community Centre, 225 Park Road, Formby that they were happy with the existing arrangements. P4 Formby Youth Centre, Redgate, Formby Councillor Platt submitted a further proposal to move some P5 Formby Youth Centre, Redgate, Formby electors from P4 to P2 and from P2 to P4. The Working P6 Ince Blundell Village Hall, Road, Ince Blundell Group did not support the change as it involved splitting census output areas. The Working Group had also met with Councillor Platt during the initial phase of consultation and had agreed the proposals submitted to the Area Committee

The Working Group G6 Netherton Park Estate Sports & Social Club, Arnside, Litherland agreed to correct the anomaly in respect of Cunard, Servia and Ismay Roads and Wood Street, but did not accept the proposal in respect of Rimmers Close as this particular proposal was no different than that in other Polling Districts. The anomalies which were accepted have been incorporated on the attached maps.
