Quiet Hour Ministries’ very successful short-term holistic mission trip program is seen as one of our greatest strengths and an excellent way to move the ministry forward in an even stronger way. The group set a five-year goal of recruiting and sending out 5,000 volunteers on Quiet Hour Ministries mission trips each year! Considering the number of volunteers is presently under 1,000 a year, this is a major goal, and yet one that with careful planning, vision and God’s blessing, we believe can be accomplished. Just to underscore the impact of this vision, 5,000 Quiet Hour Ministries evangelism volunteers would reach more than 1.1 million people for Christ!

A New Era Nearly six years ago, it was my privilege to join Quiet Hour Ministries as chief executive officer.I Mission trips had recently completed a number of years serving as president of the Middle East Union of the Seventh- day Adventist Church. Working in that challenging part of the world was a privilege and because of that experience, I was able to further enhance the work Quiet Hour Ministries had been doing for years in reaching into the hearts of Muslim believers as well as supporting traditional approaches to sharing saving grace. Recently my wife Karen, who typically volunteers more than two months of her time to Quiet Hour Ministries each year, was invited to return to the General Conference secretariat office in Maryland. This call requires a move to Maryland, where we served for five years some time ago.
