Copenhagen in December

Copenhagen in december has a number of christmas markets, where the Christmas Market is the most popular. Also popular is the christmas market in . The markets sell gift items and traditional Danish christmas food and gløgg (mulled wine). The long pedestrian street “Strøget” is very festive in December and a good place to shop christmas presents and souvenirs. Good examples of famous Danish design are found at Illums Bolighus on Strøget and the opposite Royal Copenhagen complex which has elaborate, beautifully laid out Christmas tables on display.
