4 Best Owner-Hanelleel in Show Competition - Saturday June 9 & 10, 2016 - National Owner-Hanelleel Series The AKC Owner/Handled Series is a non-tilling competition for dogs that are exhibited by their owners who are not professional handlers. This series of special competitions will be offered al dog shows across lhe country. All dogs that are owner/handled and are not owned or exhibited by professional handlers' meet the requirements for this competition. Exhibitors must dectare their dog is Owner/Handler eligible at the time of entry using the check box on the entry form. Eligible dogs will be identified by an asterisk in the steward's book and the catalog. Dogs must be handled throughout the competition by an eligible owner. Professional handlers may not exhibit the dog in this competition.

The Owner Handled Besl of Breed will be selected from the dogs that are eligible to compete in the Best of Breed competition including Winners Dog, Winners Bitch and winners of the non-regular d asses. If the Besl of BreedlVariely winner is Owner-Handled competition eligible , il will automatically be Owner Handled Best of BreedlVariely and be eligible to compete in both the regular as we ll as the OYmer­ Handled Group. If the Best of BreedNariety winner is Owner-Handled competition ineligible and the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of BreedlVariely will compete against the eligible undefeated exhibits of the owner sex to determine Owner-Handled Best of BreedlVariely. If the Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex to Best of BreedNariety are both ineligible and Select Dog and Select Bitch are both eligible, the judge is to choose Best Owner-Handled exhibit from the Selects and eligible Winners Dog or Winners Bitch. If one of the Selects is eligible, excuse all dogs of the same sex and then choose Best ONner-Handled exhibit from the remaining dogs 01 the opposite sex including the eligible Winners. If Best of Breed, Best 01 Opposite Sex 10 Best of Breed, Select Dog & Select Bitch are ineligible, the judge may choose any eligible dog remaining in the ring including Winners Dog or Winners Bitch as Owner-Handled Best 01 BreedlVariety. 15 IMPORTANT NOTICE Overnight Camping/Parking ~ Permitted at Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park before the park closes BY PERMIT ONLY. No Parking Permitted on Route 202. Access to the event site will be available from 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 8,2016. No camper hookups available. The Club will provide assistance to exhibitors and handlers in unloading and placeing their crates and grooming table. The Club will provide a special Crate/Grooming Tent for the use of all exhibitors bringing their dogs in crates or carrying cases. The tent is arranged in aisles and work spaces, permitting quick access to rings. The Committee asks the cooperation of all exhibitors in accepting assignments and arranging work tables. Crates and tables will not be allowed in the aisles. Grooming tables in excess of 24 x 36 inches will not be permitted. Toy Breeds will be assigned a corner ring . CRATES CANNOT BLOCK EXITS OF TENT PER FIRE MARSHAL. Exhibitors MUST be governed by any rules or regulations of civil authorities, building and parking restrictions.
