Annapurna Circuit Trek

The round Circuit trek starts from the charming village of Bhulbhule nestled at 840 m with a population over just over 3000 inhabitants. This is a popular trekking trail in the Annapurna region to enjoy spectacular Himalayan scenery.

This 300 km circuit follows the Annapurna Himal, alongisde the banks of the two mighty rivers: the Marsyangdi in the East and the Kali Gandaki to the west. This trek takes one over the 5416 m high Thorung La Pass, the highest mountain pass in the world, between the upper reaches of the two rivers. The Kali Gandaki is the world’s deepest gorge, which is flanked by the 8000 m giants of (8617 m) and (7219 m to 8091 m). The flora and geography change dramatically throughout the duration of this trek, from the rich, green rice paddies of the lowlands, climbing through deep, dramatic gorges to the arid region and snow covered . Adding to the thrill of being in such a remarkable and unique environment, trekkers will also have the opportunity to spot blue sheep, Himalayan mountain goats, pheasants, jackals, and possibly even the elusive snow leopard. The Brahmin, Chhetree, Tibetan, Thakali, Magar, Tamang and Gurung inhabitants of the mountain will bring the added element of cultural diversity.

The Annapurna Circuit trek is one of the world’s classic treks and should be on the must do list of any serious trekker or adventurer. Never disappointing, always thrilling - the Annapurna round trek truly has something for everyone and is one of the favorite treks here at Mountain Ram Adventures.
