(The current limit is 35 mph.) The change, which will go into effect in the near future, also includes a special 15 mph zone on Greenfield Drive and on Upper Road for children going to and from school. Signs will be flagged to alert motorists to the lowered limit. The lowered speed limit will also make the area safer for pedestrians crossing Greenfield Drive and Upper Road for activities taking place at Ebben Field. Kohler Police Chief Bill Rutten said the Kohler Police Department knows there will need to be some transition time, and will give warnings when appropriate. Board Elects Herb Kohler Executive Chairman David Kohler President and Chief Executive Officer KOHLER, Wis. – April 29, 2015 – At its annual meeting today, the Kohler Co. Board of Directors elected Chairman and CEO Herbert V. Kohler, Jr. to the new role of Executive Chairman. Effective June 1, Mr. Kohler will continue to chair the Board, lead its Executive Committee, oversee shareholder communications, manage corporate mergers and acquisitions and the Hospitality & Real Estate Group. David Kohler, President and Chief Operating Officer since 2009, was elected President and Chief Executive Officer. His duties will expand to include responsibility for the company’s corporate staff and three of its business Groups. Kohler Co. has a comprehensive succession plan for all middle and upper management positions. This change is part of an orderly transition to ensure the company is able to adhere to its mission of creating a higher level of gracious living and guiding principles of living on the leading edge of design and technology while maintaining a single level of quality. From: Carl Buesing To: DNR Kohler Proposal Subject: Comments on Kohler Golf Course proposal for the Town of Wilson Date: Thursday, July 21, 2016 5:15:04 PM Thank you for giving me an opportunity to read and comment on the draft environmental impact statement which was prepared as part of the Kohler Co. golf course proposal in the Town of Wilson, Sheboygan County. As a City of Sheboygan native and long-time resident, I generally agree with the report and its observations. I support the Kohler Co.’s proposal. All of us would prefer to maintain and preserve from development as much area adjacent to Lake Michigan as practible. We should feel fortunate that Kohler has allowed the property to remain undeveloped for as long as it has up to now. However, Kohler ought to be given the opportunity to use its own land as it chooses. Among the infinite potential uses for the property, it would seem that there many more uses would be much more intrusive and less environmentally friendly than Kohler’s intended plans for a golf course. Thus, I would characterize the Kohler plan as a “win-win” for all interested parties. The report makes fleeting reference to the Amsterdam Dunes as being a recreational and public area in Sheboygan County. Perhaps it is a matter of timing, but I think there is an intangible symmetry between the Amsterdam Dunes and the Kohler proposal. Amsterdam Dunes is an undeveloped parcel some 7 or 8 miles south of the Kohler property that was acquired by Sheboygan County in 2014. -

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE November 17, 2020 Contact: Patricia DuChene Public Relations/Marketing [email protected] Ruth DeYoung Kohler II (1941 – 2020) Long-time Director of internationally renowned John Michael Kohler Arts Center and tireless champion of under-recognized artists, art-environment builders and art forms SHEBOYGAN, Wisconsin – Tuesday, November 17, 2020 – Ruth DeYoung Kohler II had a deep appreciation and passion for the works created by under-recognized artists and art forms and as the long-tenured Director of the John Michael Kohler Arts Center (1972-2016), she grew the Sheboygan, Wisconsin arts center to an internationally recognized institution presenting contemporary art, the work of vernacular artists, performing arts, and the work of art- environment builders. Ruth died Saturday, November 14, at her home in Kohler, Wisconsin, at the age of 79. She was the daughter of Herbert V. Kohler, Sr. and Ruth DeYoung Kohler, and younger sister of current Kohler Co. Executive Chairman Herbert V. Kohler, Jr. 1 At the time of her passing, Ruth held the title of Director Emerita at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center – a testament to her tremendous contribution to the fields of art environments and self-taught and folk art as well as contemporary art. Ruth was also a major shareholder in privately held Kohler Co., headquartered in Kohler, Wisconsin. Ruth was a tireless champion of under-recognized artists and art forms. She saw the arts as a driver of positive social change, upholding the pillars of diversity, inclusiveness, and community involvement. She believed passionately that the arts, in all its iterations, reveal who we are as a people: past, present, and future.
