VITAL EVENTS – THIRD QUARTER 2019 BIRTH EVENTS:

• For the third quarter of 2019, was able to register 5,861 births incidences (timely and delayed registration). This figure is 6.99 percent lower than the previous quarter’s registration of 6,302. Moreover, birth registration in the third quarter of 2019 was also lower by 2.17 percent in the same quarter last year (5,991 birth registrations).

• The City of continued to have the highest number of birth registration in Oriental Mindoro with a total of 1,972 birth events registered in the third quarter of 2019. Followed by with 708, with 549, and Roxas with 539. The municipality of Pola had the least number of births registered with only 73.

MARRIAGE EVENTS:

• A total of 618 marriage certificates was registered by the local civil registry offices of Oriental Mindoro in the third quarter of 2019. This figure is lower than the number registered in the previous quarter by 63.67 percent. Similarly, marriage registration in third quarter of 2019 was lower by 3.28 percent over the number of registered marriages in the same quarter last year (639).

• The City of Calapan posted the highest number of registered matrimonial events in Oriental Mindoro during the third quarter of 2019 with a total of 94. Followed by Naujan and Bongabong with 93 and 53 wedding events, respectively. The municipality of Pola reported the least number of marriage with 15.

DEATH EVENTS:

• The reference quarter registered a total of 1,267 deaths including 26 fetal deaths which occurred in Calapan City (15), Mansalay (1), Naujan (1), Pinamalayan (3), Puerto Galera (2), Roxas (2), Socorro (1) and Victoria (1). This figure is lower by 1.34 percent compared to the deaths registered in second quarter of 2019 (1,284), with 18 fetal deaths. Further, the number of deaths in third quarter of 2019 was higher by 8.85 percent compared to the deaths registered in the third quarter of 2018 with 1,164, including 13 fetal deaths which all occurred in Calapan City.

• The most number of registered deaths in Oriental Mindoro occurred in the City of Calapan with 523 including 15 fetal deaths. Followed by Pinamalayan with 115 including 3 fetal deaths and Naujan with 98 death occurrences with one fetal death. The municipality of San Teodoro registered the least number of deaths with 19.
