GOLDEN KNIGHTS LAST GAME RECAP Feb. 14 - Vegas Golden Knights 1, Colorado Avalanche 0 Marc-Andre Fleury turned aside all 30 shots he faced as the Vegas Golden Knights blanked the Colorado Avalanche, 1-0, on Sunday afternoon at T- Mobile Arena. After the first 20 minutes passed without a score, Max Pacioretty buried his team-leading seventh of the year to put the Golden Knights ahead, 1-0. Vegas held that lead through 40 minutes and Fleury locked it down in the final frame as the Golden Knights took the shutout victory, the 63rd of his career.

All-Time Against The Avalanche The Vegas Golden Knights and Colorado Avalanche have met nine times since 2017 and Vegas has a 4-4-1 record against Colorado. The Avalanche took both games against the Golden Knights last season, winning both games in Las Vegas. Reilly Smith led Vegas with two assists in two games against Colorado in the two meetings.

Winning, The Fortress And Donuts The Golden Knights captured their 10th win of the season after defeating the Avalanche (Feb. 14). They required their fewest games to record 10 wins (13 GP), eclipsing the previous mark set during the team’s inaugural season in 2017-18 (16 GP). Vegas also improved to 8-1-1 at T-Mobile Arena in 2020-21. Since 2017-18, the Golden Knights’ 83 home wins trail only the Lightning (89) for the most over that span. Additionally, their 22 team shutouts over that span only trail the Predators (25).

Block Party The Vegas Golden Knights are averaging just under 16 blocked shots per game this season (15.97), which leads the NHL. The Golden Knights started the season having blocked at least 14 shots in the first eight games of the season, the second-longest such streak in team history (9 straight w/14+ blocked shots in Oct./Nov. 2017). Alec Martinez leads the team & ranks second in the league with 45 blocked shots this season.

Marchy Maddness The Golden Knights are 8-0-0 when Jonathan Marchessault records at least one point in 2020-21, and 1-2-1 when he does not. The Golden Knights captured their first win of the season when Marchessault went pointless against Colorado (Feb. 14). Anthony Cirelli (TBL) is the only other player who's team has an undefeated record when he tallies at least one point (7-0-0).

Reblooming Flower Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury stopped all 30 shots en route to his 63rd career shutout (against Colorado, Feb. 14). He has allowed more than two goals just once through his eight appearances and boasts a record of 7-1-0 this season (1.38 GAA, .944 and 2 SO). Fleury leads the league with the highest save percentage and is tied for the lowest goals-against average with Boston's Jaroslav Halak in 2020-21 (min. 5 GP).

Stone Era Vegas forward Mark Stone has 16 points (4G, 12A) through 13 games this season & is averaging 1.23 points per game, which is tied for 23rd in the NHL. He opened his 2020-21 campaign with a two point game (1G, 1A) against the Anaheim Ducks &followed that up with a two assist night against the Ducks two days later. He posted an assist in the team's third game of the season against Arizona (Jan. 18) &scored a goal to go with an assist in the team's fourth game of the year against the Coyotes (Jan. 20). It's the second straight season he's opened with back-to-back multi-point games. He posted a three assist game against the St. Louis Blues (Jan. 26) & followed that up with another multi-point game (1G, 1A) against Los Angeles (Feb. 5).

Mad Max! Vegas forward Max Pacioretty posted his seventh career hat trick after potting three goals against St. Louis (Jan. 26). He leads all active U.S. born players in career hat tricks & ranks tied for ninth all-time among American born players. He has scored a team-high seven goals this year, which is tied for 14th in the NHL. He posted three assists against Los Angeles (Feb. 5). It was just the second time in his career he finished a regular-season game with three or more assists The only other time was with Montreal in 2014. Pacioretty became the second Golden Knight to score in three straight games to open a season after helping lead Vegas to a 4-2 win over Arizona (Jan. 18), joining James Neal, who did it in the first four games of the franchise's history. Pacioretty helped lead the Golden Knights to a 5-2 win over Anaheim after scoring a goal in the team's season opener (Jan. 14). It was fifth time in his career that he has posted a goal in his first game of the season. Two days later he followed that up with a game-winning goal in overtime against the Ducks (Jan. 16). It's the first time in his career he has started a season with goals in the first three games of the season.

Rookie Thread Count Vegas defenseman Dylan Coghlan appeared in his fifth career NHL game against the San Jose Sharks (Feb. 13). That also marked the fifth game where he has worn a different uniform combination. In the first game of his career, he wore the traditional VGK home jersey combination. In his second game, he wore VGK's alternate gold jersey. The team debuted their retro reverse jerseys during Coghlan's third game. Most recently, the team wore gold helmets during his fourth game. Against the Sharks, the team wore their traditional white road uniforms to complete the quintuple.
