COUNTY COUNCIL AND COUNCIL TEMPORARY PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF VARIOUS ROADS PARISH ORDER 2018

WHEREAS the Gloucestershire County Council (hereinafter referred to as "the County Council") and the (hereinafter referred to as "the Council") being the Traffic Authorities for various roads ("the Roads) in the Fairford Parish is satisfied that use of parts or the whole of the Roads should be prohibited or restricted because of the danger to the public using the Roads.

NOW THEREFORE the Council in exercise of its power under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, hereby makes the following Order:-

GENERAL

1. This Order shall come into effect on the gth July 2018 and may be cited as "Gloucestershire County Council and Wiltshire Council Temporary Prohibition and Restriction of Various Roads Fairford Parish Cotswold District Order 2018"

2. The Roads fall within the Fairford Parish in the Cotswold District, in the Counties of Gloucestershire and Wiltshire

3. The Roads will be closed or restricted for a total of 9 days; however, if necessary this Order shall allow the Roads to be closed or restricted for up to 18 months

4. In this Order except where otherwise stated any reference to a numbered Article or Schedule is a reference to the Article or Schedule bearing that number in this Order

RESTRICTIONS/PROHIBITIONS

5. No person shall proceed nor cause or permit any vehicle to proceed along part of the Roads as specified in the First Schedule between the 101h July 2018 and 161h July 2018

6. No person shall proceed nor cause or permit any vehicle to proceed along part of the Roads as specified in the Second Schedule between the gth July 2018 and 1 ?1h July 2018

7. No person shall proceed nor cause or permit any vehicle to proceed along part of the Roads as specified in the Third Schedule between the hours of 06:00 on 12'h July 2018 and 21 :30 on the 151h July 2018

8. No person shall proceed nor cause or permit any vehicle to proceed along part of the Roads as specified in the Fourth Schedule between the hours of 06:00 and 15:00 on the 131h, 141h and 151h July 2018 9. No person shall proceed nor cause or permit any vehicle to proceed along part of the Roads as specified in the Fifth Schedule between the 1 1 1 hours of 15:00 and 22:00 hours on the 13 h, 14 h and 15 h July 2018

10. No person shall proceed nor cause or permit any vehicle to proceed along part of the Roads as specified in the Sixth Schedule between the hours of 06:00 and 15:00 and between the hours of 15:00 and 19:00 on 1 1 1 the 13 h, 14 h and 15 h July 2018

11 . No person shall proceed nor cause or permit any vehicle to proceed along part of the Roads as specified in the Seventh Schedule between the hours of 06:00 and 15:00 and between the hours of 15.00 and 1 1 1 19.00 on the 13 h, 14 h and 15 h July 2018

12. No person shall proceed nor cause or permit any vehicle to wait or park along part of the Roads as specified in the Eighth Schedule between 111 the hours of 06:00 on 9 July 2018 and 06:00 on 1 ih July 2018

13. No person shall proceed nor cause or permit any vehicle to wait or park along part of the Roads as specified in the Ninth Schedule between the 1 hours of 06:00 on 1ih July 2018 and 06:00 on 16 h July 2018

FIRST SCHEDULE CLOSURES

• Road Number 3/173 Fairford Road

• Road Number 41052 Rhymes Barn Farm Lane

• Road Number 41051 Rhymes Barn Farm Lane

SECOND SCHEDULE CLOSURES

The Footway/Cycleway only along Road Number 3/372 Road from south­ west of Bowmoor House to Washpool Lane from its junction with road number 400996 St Annes Church To Willow Bank House Kempsford to its junction with 500957 Washpool Lane for a distance of approximately 650 metres.

THIRD SCHEDULE ONE WAY RESTRICTIONS

A one way restriction will exist on road numbers 3/172 Whelford Road, 40994 Top Road, 40995 Mount Pleasant, 3/175 High Street and 3/172 Chapel Road, commencing in a north westerly direction from a point at the junction of Road No. 3/172 Whelford Road and Road No. 40994 Top Road, continue in a north westerly direction on Road No. 40994 Top Road for approximately 325 metres and then in a south westerly direction on Road No. 40995 Mount Pleasant for approximately 160 metres to a point at its junction with Road No. 3/175 High Street Kempsford. Then travelling in a south easterly direction for approximately 465 metres to a point at its junction with Road No. 3/172 Chapel Road for approximately 163 metres in a north westerly direction to a point at its junction with Road No. 40994 Top Road where the restriction ceases.

FOURTH SCHEDULE ONE WAY RESTRICTIONS

A one way restriction shall apply to traffic heading north from the junction of Road No.40994 Top Road, Kempsford with Road No. 3/172 Whelford Road, Whelford for approximately 4 kilometres to its junction with the A417 London Road.

FIFTH SCHEDULE ONE WAY RESTRICTIONS

A one way restriction shall apply to traffic heading south west from a point at the junction of Road No. 3/172 Whelford Road with the A417 London Road for approximately 4 kilometres to its junction with Road No. 40994 Top Road Kempsford.

SIXTH SCHEDULE ONE WAY RESTRICTIONS

A one way traffic restriction shall apply to traffic heading north from the junction of the A417 London Road and Road No. 4097 4, near to Butler's Fuels, Fairford and continuing north on Road No. 40974 for approximately 700 metres to its junction with Road No. 3/161 for approximately 1 kilometre east of Fairford.

The one-way restriction shall be reversed and apply to traffic travelling south on Road No. 40974 from its junction with Road No. 3/161 for approximately 700 metres to its junction with the A417 London Road near to Butler's Fuels, Fairford.

SEVENTH SCHEDULE ONE WAY RESTRICTIONS

A one way traffic restriction shall apply to traffic travelling north-west on Road No. 3/17 4 from the junction of The Street, with Lane, Marston Meysey to the junction with High Street, , a distance of approximately 2.4 kilometres to include that section of road within the County of Wiltshire.

The one-way restriction shall be reversed and apply to traffic travelling south-east on Road No. 3/17 4 from its junction with High Street, Meysey Hampton to its junction with The Street and Marston Meysey Lane, Marston Meysey.

EIGHTH SCHEDULE NO WAITING AT ANY TIME

Marston Meysey Lane from the 'T' junction near South Hill Farm northerly to the 'T' junction south-west of Meysey Hampton; from the 'T' junction southwest of Meysey Hampton towards as far as the 'Dog Kennels; from the 'T' junction southwest of Meysey Hampton north-easterly to 30mph signs.

'Green Triangle' near to Green Gate 2 north along Marston Meysey Lane to Crash Gate 0, and to include 30 metres both sides of 'The Street', Marston Meysey from the 'Green Triangle' towards Marston Meysey

Horcott Road from Marlborough Arms (former) Coln House School crossroads south-easterly to the start of yellow lines

Northerly along Whelford Road from the end of the yellow lines to the 'Green Triangle'

Washpool Lane from Whelford Road to the Gravel Quarry

Marston Hill between A417 and Ash Copse

West-south-westerly from Ash Copse to the 'T' junction near South Hill Farm

NINTH SCHEDULE NO WAITING AT ANY TIME

Meysey Hampton Village in a northerly direction from the 30mph signs to the Masons Arms Public House and continue along both sides of the road up to the junction with the main A417

Lechlade Town Centre on the left side of the High Street opposite the former 'Christmas Shop' site where there are no yellow lines

St John's Street, Lech lade from the end of the yellow lines to the boundary of the built up area

Hambidge Lane, Lechlade from junction with A361 north-westerly to end of built up area
