CITY OF PORT PHILLIP Notice of Proposal Community Amenity (Amendment) Local Law No. 1 Notice is hereby given that the Port Phillip City Council (Òthe CouncilÓ) proposes to make the Community Amenity (Amendment) Local Law No. 1 under Section 111 of the Local Government Act 1989 for the purpose of amending the Community Amenity Local Law No. 1 (Òthe principal Local LawÓ) to better meet the local amenity and safety objectives of the principal Local Law by: (a) clarifying CouncilÕs powers in relation to certain functions under the Local Law; (b) identifying additional uses or activities that require a permit; (c) identifying additional uses or activities that are regulated and controlled or prohibited; and (d) prescribing penalties for offences against the Local Law.
