Are you one of our next ‘Young Whistler’s?’ News Cumbria is investing heavily in developing officials to support the club and school  Are you our next Young Whistler? game across the County. One of the newest initiatives started 2 years ago is the  Whitehaven R, R & R ‘Young Whistlers’ Programme aimed at those 14-25, to get them involved in this vital area of the game. One of the RFU’s best upcoming referees Ben Blain from  Jeff Simm 7’s @ Park , is making excellent progress and is a fantastic role model for any aspiring young referee. If you are 14-25 and are interested in developing your  Netherhall to resurrect Senior Rugby st refereeing skills, there is a L1 Referee Course on 31 August for new candidates  Cumbria’s 1st Pitch up & Play Event with current YW’s joining after lunch for training and to network with the new Our Young Whistlers shirt as recruits. Whitehaven RUFC Recruiting, Retaining & Returning! Netherhall look to resurrect Senior Rugby Do you have some news? RDO Liam Nicholls and 4 friends recently completed the London to Paris Bike Ride in aid of the Sick Children’s Trust. That was the first challenge, with the 2nd being the AJ Bell London Triathlon on weekend of 6th August. @CumbriaRDO The friends hope to raise around £6,000 in total from all the events and challenges in the programme.
