Dear friends of the choir, Rhododendron ferrugineum (sometimes called Alpenrose, Snow-Rose, or Rusty-leaved Alpenrose) I would like to thank Alice, our fabulous editor of is an evergreen shrub that grows just above the tree the Swiss News, for the design of our new Baerg- line in the Alps, Pyrenees, Jura and northern Apen- Roeseli logo. We hope you like it as much as we do! Otherwise we are very busy preparing for our upcoming performances. One of which is our trip to Sydney in September, to join the Sydney Yodlers for their 50th anniversary celebration. They have invited all other Swiss choirs in Australia to come and celebrate with them. This will be no doubt a fabulous get-together. Turtle Rock is on the eastern edge of Lamington National Park. It is accessed from Nixon Creek Rd in the Numinbah Valley, Gold Coast Hinterland. It is a short but steep walk. Turtle rock is 510m high and we need to ascend 300m of these 510m. Horizontal distance is only 5–6km return. But it will take us most of the day to complete the return walk.
