CLUBS REPRESENTED The Rotary Club of Milton Ulladulla History has, been at CHARTER NIGHT researched, condensed and produced by PDG Werner Pohl. With the exception of the first 8 years. The Club records were maintained by charter member PP Ken Kendall who we have District 270 to thank for looking after some of the Historic Documents, Bega 6 photographs and bulletins over the many years. March 15th in the year 2010 marks a significant milestone in the history of the Rotary Club of Milton Ulladulla Inc., being the 50th Anniversary of the inaugural meeting of the provisional Rotary Club in 1960, later to be granted a Charter by Rotary International April 10th 1960. This Charter was presented by the then District 270 Governor Fred Fischer on June 18th 1960. Since its Charter the Milton Ulladulla Rotary Club has established a reputation within the com- munity and within the Jurisdiction of Rotary as a Club of action, leaving a legacy of enduring impact on the local community and the Rotary District. It is appropriate in reviewing Club His- tory to consider relevant contributions in the four Avenues of Rotary Service, Club, Vocational, Community, International and as well as contributions at District and International level. The Rotary Club of Milton Ulladulla was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Nowra. Past President Tom Tait was appointed the District Governors Special Representative to investigate the forma- tion of a Rotary Club in Milton Ulladulla District. Past President Tom Tait invited 20 business and professional men from the area designated for the Club to the inaugural meeting held at the CWA Hall Milton. Past President Tom Tait, Past President Frank Morehouse and Geoff Stone from the Rotary Club of Nowra addressed the meeting, attended by 20 prospective members of the future club. The highlight this Rotary Year was without any doubt the “Italian Mock Wedding with a Twist” Our own Club Member Rob Wylie was inducted as District Governor for District 9710. The Club instigated and well organised by Past President Dom Fondacaro which also involved nearly every selected Angie Cvetkovic and Kirsten Wykes to attend the MUNA Seminar. Mr Peter Thistleton was Rotarian and partner from our Club. As a result of this fine effort the Club was able to provide $12,000.00 towards the Dialysis Machine the TAFE Student of the year. In 2000-01 we sponsored the 4th Probus Club. • 1987-88 was the year we organised and hosted the District RYLA Seminar. • For the younger generation 14-17 years of age, 3 day RYPEN Seminar was organised in 1993 at the H Ranch. Also in 1999-00, 2001-02 and 2003-04 at Burrill Pines. • To the District 269, 270, 275, 971 Global Exchange Students, who were on a 3 stage safari tour, we extended our hospitality by providing overnight accommodation or just luncheon and refreshments whilst staying or passing through Milton Ulladulla.
