Eight Top 10 stars at the Porsche Grand Prix anniversary

Stuttgart. Dream field at the 40th anniversary: eight Top 10 players will be competing at the 2017 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in the Porsche Arena. Heading the crème de la crème of women’s tennis will be . The world No. 1 will be chasing a new record in Stuttgart from 22 to 30 April as she will be aiming to become the first German to register a hat-trick of wins at the long-established tournament.

“Stuttgart is my home tournament. I’m looking forward to the special atmosphere and the fantastic crowd,” said the title-holder who enjoyed the best and most successful season of her career in 2016. In addition to her wins at the Australian Open, US Open and in Stuttgart, she reached the Wimbledon final, won the silver medal at the Rio Olympic Games and was runner-up at the WTA Finals in Singapore. “Winning the Por- sche Tennis Grand Prix for a third time after all the successes would be another career highlight,” continued the Porsche Brand Ambassador.

Angelique Kerber will be joined in the line-up by Dominika Cibulkova (Slovakia), her opponent in the Singapore final, and Agnieszka Radwanska (Poland), the current world No. 3 and the winner of the 2015 WTA Finals.
