About the Anti-Displacement Housing Preference (ADHP)

The Anti-Displacement Housing Preference helps residents who are at risk of being priced out, stay in the City. It gives higher priority to applicants in many housing lotteries.

Certain census tracts were identified as having extreme displacement pressure. Extensive research was done to determine these census tracts.

How do I get the ADHP? ● If you currently live in an affected census tract, you can claim this preference on your housing applications. ● You’ll need to add documents to your application that prove your residency. ​See the accepted documents checklist.

Is my current address eligible? ● If you’re applying online on DAHLIA, the application will alert you if you are eligible. ● You can also research your neighborhood by referencing census tract information in the following pages.
