Rural crime and information update – 1st to 30th April 2018

Please find enclosed reported crime and incidents of note during the month of April 2018. This report is intended to inform Parish Councils and their communities of issues they should be aware of and will not include incidents such as domestic violence, shoplifting or personal assault for example.

Deeping Gate, Etton, Maxey, Northborough

 Main Road, Etton 7-8/4 : Criminal damage to a vehicle. Vehicle had broken down and had been left by owner. The next morning it was found with smashed windows and quite a lot of other damage.  Rectory Lane, Etton 16/4 0030-0040 – Burglary. A brick was thrown through a ground floor window and homeowner heard the noise. A male was chased by a neighbour and detained until police arrived. Male named as Christopher GUTTERIDGE 7/11/94 and he has been charged with this offence.

Ailsworth, Castor, Glinton, , Sutton, , Wansford, Wittering and Upton

 St Johns Road, Wittering 3-4/4: Criminal damage to a vehicle – scratches found on a vehicle that had been parked in the street outside home address.  RAF Wittering 5/4: Theft– Padlocks removed from one of the entry gates on the site perimeter. Compound entered and 5 pairs of fire extinguishers were stolen along with an expensive wood chipping machine.  Road, Glinton 5/4: Theft of pedal cycle – Tiger ladies mountain bike stolen from driveway.  Helpston Road, 16/4: TFMV – lady had parked to walk her dog and returned to find windows smashed and items taken.  Welmore Road, Glinton 19/4: Criminal damage to a dwelling – store thrown at window which caused it to smash.  Stamford Road, Marholm 20/4: TFMV – index plates stolen from a Vauxhall Zafira (AJ04)  Vergette Road, Glinton 19-21/4: Criminal damage to a vehicle – scratches all along side panels of vehicle whilst parked in the street outside home address.  High St, Glinton 25/4: Criminal damage to a dwelling – 3 male youths seen to enter compound area and jump on shed causing damage. One male was wearing a navy hooded top with a grey top underneath.  Castor Hanglands, Helpston Rd 30/4: TFMV – index plates stolen from vehicle parked in beauty spot.

Ashton, Bainton, , Helpston, , Southery Woods and Ufford

 Heath Road, Helpston 8/4: TFMV – window smashed and gym bag stolen.  Walcot Road, Barnack 16/4: TFMV – window smashed and handbag stolen.  Station Road, Barnack 22-23/4: TFMV – index plates stolen whilst vehicle was parked in the street.  Barnack Hills & Holes 29/4: TFMV – bag stolen from vehicle when owner parked up to walk their dog.

Eye and Thorney

 Little Close, Eye 9/4: Attempt burglary – homeowner heard kicking to the door but no entry was gained. Youths were seen in the area at the time.  Hodney Road, Eye 10/4: Criminal damage to a vehicle – owner heard a noise outside and saw a youth running from the driveway. Vehicle wing mirrors damaged.  Park Crescent, Thorney 12/4: Attempt burglary – damage to front door but no entry gained.

 Thorney Road, Peakirk 30/4-1/5: Caravan stolen from premises – Swift Challenger 580 index AS09 TXG and offenders who have needed a vehicle to carry out this crime. Did you notice anything suspicious?
