Car Parking All Exhibitors please note: For staging purposes only, a directive from the Showground Director and Health & Safety Officer, state that no vehicle will be allowed onto the Show Field after 8.30am on Show Day, and must exit the Show Field by 9.00am sharp. All Exhibitors to use the front entrance of the marquee. An admission charge may be applied to drivers plus any passengers for which a ticket system will operate. Any charge will be refunded to all concerned at the gate when leaving the Showground before 9.00am. Friday evening staging no admission charge

Responsibility Exhibitors, competitors, hirers or contractors must ensure they hold suitable Public Liability Insurance (and where appropriate suitable Employers Liability Insurance) Neither the Camborne Show Society, nor any of its Officers or Servants, shall be in any way responsible or accountable for anything that may happen from any infectious or contagious disease, or any other cause, or circumstance whatever to Exhibitors or their Servants, or to any animal or article exhibited or property brought onto the Showground; or otherwise for anything else in connection with, or arising out of or attributable to, the Camborne Show, or these or any other conditions or regulations described in relation thereto: each Exhibitor shall be solely responsible for any consequential or other loss, injury, or damage done to, or occasioned by, or arising from, any animal or article exhibited by him, including any infectious or contagious disease, and shall indemnify the Camborne Show Society against all legal or other proceedings in regard hereto.

-6- Recipes & Pattern SEMI-RICH FRUIT CAKE HEAVY CAKE 7″cake tin 6oz. (180gm) Plain Flour 8oz. (220gm) Self-Raising Flour 1½oz (45gm) Castor Sugar 4oz. (110gm) Margarine 3oz (90gm) Currants 4oz. (110gm) Caster Sugar 3oz (90gm) Lard 2 Beaten Eggs ¼ tsp Salt 8oz. (220gm) Dried Mixed Fruit Peel (if liked) 3-4 tablespoon Milk REVEL BUNS 1 tsp. Vanilla Essence 6oz (180gm) Self Raising Flour Creaming method 3oz (75gm) Margarine Oven 350°F, 170°C or Gas mark 5 for 1 hour 2½oz (65gm) Castor Sugar 15 mins - 1 hour 30 mins 1 Egg Yolk SAVOURY TEA LOAF Rub together flour and margarine, stir in sugar. 12oz (350gm) Self-Raising flour Stir in egg yolk, kneed well. Roll out, not too 1/2 tsp (2.5ml) salt thin, and cut out with a round 2½″ cutter. Bake pinch of cayenne pepper in a moderately hot oven for approx. 10 1/2 tsp (2.5ml) dry mustard minutes. 3oz (75gm) butter PREMATURE BABY HAT 3oz (75gm) grated cheese Yarn; Baby DK - any acrylic easy wash, but not 2oz (50gm) walnuts - chopped plain white, please do not use wool yarn. One 1/2 tsp (2.5ml) dried mixed herbs or more colours may be used. ½oz (15gm) is 1 egg - beaten sufficient for this pattern. 1/2pt (300ml) milk Needles; pair of 3.25mm (old size 10). Topping; Pattern; garter st throughout. 1oz (25gm) grated cheese Cast on 28sts 1oz (25gm) walnuts - chopped *1st row K Set oven at 350°F, 180°C or Gas mark 4. 2nd row K 20 turn, K to end Sift flour, salt, pepper and mustard into a bowl. 3rd row K 22 turn, K to end Rub in butter. Add cheese walnuts, herbs, egg 4th row K 24 turn, K to end and milk. Turn into 2 greased and base lined 5th row K 26 turn, K to end 1lb loaf tins (only one loaf required for the show 6th row K to end* bench). Level surface. Repeat from * to * 9 times (10 repeats in all) Scatter cheese and walnut topping over loaf Finish off and bake in centre of oven for 1hr - 1hr 15mins. Make up; join cast off edge to cast on edge, run yarn through row ends on short side, pull up and secure. Turn up brim approx. 25mm or 1˝. Note; use any suitable techniques e.g. grafting to make a neater hat.

-7- Rules 1. Exhibits may be staged on the evening prior to the show from 6.00-8.30pm. and 7.30-9.00am on the day of the show. 2. Judging will commence at 9.10am sharp. 3. Exhibits may not be removed from the tent until after prize giving. 4. Exhibitors are requested to send in their entries at the earliest possible moment. Final date for entries, Monday 13th July. 5. The Committee reserves the right to cancel any class and to exclude any exhibit not considered fit for exhibition. The judges’ decision will be final. 6. The Committee will not be responsible for any physical accident, no matter how caused. 7. Exhibitors will not be permitted in the tent during judging, an alarm will sound at 9.00am when exhibitors or members of the public (other than those who are officials or Judges) must leave the marquee. 8. No exhibit to be handled by the public. 9. The Committee will take every possible care of the exhibits but cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage. 10. All entries must be entered on the attached official entry form or by email. 11. Exhibitors are asked to collect their entries immediately after Prize giving Saturday 18th July. In the event of any unforeseeable circumstance the Exhibitor is asked to contact the Domestic Secretary at the earliest opportunity. Any exhibit not collected by 5.30pm will be placed for collection outside the marquee. 12. Prize money will be available for collection from the Section Treasurer after Prize Giving. 13. All prize monies not claimed on show day will be put to show funds. 14. Special prizes, cups and trophies will be presented at 4.20pm. 15. All cups to be returned to the Domestic Secretary two weeks before the next show. 16. Exhibits in the Handicraft and Photography sections must not have previously been entered in Camborne Show. 17. All entries must be the work of the exhibitor. 18. Exhibitors may enter a maximum of 2 entries per class, except for the Cookery/Preserves and Junior sections where only 1 entry per class is permitted. Protests All protests must be delivered to the Domestic Secretary no later than 3pm on the day of the show. A deposit of £1 will be required with each protest, which sum will be forfeited if, in the opinion of the Section Committee, such protest is considered to have been without foundation. The decision of the Judges in all cases shall be final, subject to the right of the Section Committee to deal with all protests.
