He was the parish clerk of that Chapelry for the space of forty five years, during the whole of which period he was only once absent from his duty on the Sunday. On, Monday, last, at Seend church, Mr. William Smith, a blooming youth of about 28, to Miss Susan Raizey, a charming little damsel of between 50 and 60. A great number of the inhabitants of the village met at the church to witness the ceremony; after which the happy couple returned to their habitation amidst the plaudits of their friends, the bells ringing a merry peal, and they apparently delighted with the reception they met with on the occasion. Died at Seend, on the 28th ult, where he had resided nearly all his life, Daniel Goodsheep, at the advanced age of 97 years and 6, Months. During his long life he never experienced a day's sickness sufficient to prevent him from work and was greatly respected. He formerly worked upwards of 20 years in the dye house of Mr. Joseph Smith of Seend Head.
