He earned five All-America honors, four of which were in individual events. Troyer placed eighth in the 1000 free (9:32.10) and seventh in the 200 fly (1:52.63) at nationals. Sophomore Guilherme Veiga (Vinton, Va.) followed up on a successful rookie campaign by winning three events at the GLIAC Championships and earning three First Team All-America honors. The athletic campus continues its transformation to provide the type of facilities necessary to remain competitive. Some of the projects that have been identified and either completed or will start in the fall of 2007 include the following: (1) new historical display outside of the Matthaei; (2) seating at the baseball facility; (3) football concourse and handicap seating; (4) scoreboard and batting background at softball; (5) a tennis recognition wall at the west end of the new tennis courts; (6) an academic resource area for student-athlete study; and a plan for new video scoreboards for basketball.
