From left to right: Cllr Graeme Elliot, C/Cllr Fiona Guest, Sir Mike Penning MP, and Cllr Candidate Nigel Durrant Your InTouch Team has over 30 years of combined experience in delivering services for Chaulden and Warners End with more to come! Sir Mike Penning MP said: “I wholeheartedly endorse sitting councillors Fiona Guest and Graeme Elliot and local campaigner Nigel Durrant as the three Conservative candidates for Chaulden and Warners End at the local elections. I have been working with them on their campaign against LA3 – especially now that developers have upped the number of houses planned on the site. We do not believe that the existing roads can cope with such a large development and we also believe that the school and health centre must be built as part of the first phase.”

When Chaulden & Warners End was built up in the 1960’s most homes would have had only one car. At the time Council garages were built to accommodate those smaller cars Parking but with the subsequent increase in car ownership (and today’s larger cars) parking on the road has become a real problem. Your Councillors have been active in promoting and developing ‘Verge hardening” to increase car parking spaces which can now be found in Boxted Road, Sacombe Road, Somerset Road, Spring Lane, Jockets Hill, Damask Green, Goosecroft and Shrubhill Common.

As your elected Councillors we seek to ensure the area is well served by supporting the development of local facilities. Community Centres Community have had funding to provide for flooring, automatic doors, & new heating; there has been investment to upgrade the local play areas and another initiative has been to double the size of the basketball pitch in Northridge Park in recognition of this sport’s popularity on the back of Hemel Storms success. On a wider area we have invested in a new Splash Park (a fantastic success especially with the summer just gone) which was completed together with a new play area which blends in very well with Gadebridge Park. We have over the years gradually built up our Christmas decorations for our two shopping centres with attendances growing each year. We all owe a debt of gratitude to our Armed Forces with two of our team having served their Country it is only appropriate we support our Switching on the Christmas Lights military through the Armed Forces day held in Gadebridge Park. Litter is a scar on our lives and we have been active in leading litter picks and campaigning against fly tipping to ensure this blight is removed as quickly as possible.
