Gregg L. Engles Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of The WhiteWave Foods Company

Gregg Engles is the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of The WhiteWave Foods Company (NYSE: WWAV), a leading consumer packaged food and beverage company focused on marketing and selling branded products throughout North America, Europe and recently China. WhiteWave brands include dairy products, nondairy beverages and International Delight coffee creamers.

Before leading The WhiteWave Foods Company, Gregg was the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and Founder of Dean Foods Company, one of the nation's leading food and beverage companies. Founded as Suiza Foods in 1993 to consolidate the U.S. fluid industry, the company went public in 1996 and grew revenue more than 10 fold over the next decade. During this time, Gregg conceived the creation of a branded dairy alternative business within the Dean Foods portfolio, and, under his leadership, built The WhiteWave Foods Company through a series of successful acquisitions, including International Delight in 1997, Silk in 2002, Horizon Organic in 2004, and in 2009. Dean Foods spun WhiteWave off to its shareholders in 2012 as a separate public company. Gregg relocated from Dallas, TX to Denver, WhiteWave’s headquarters, in July 2013 as WhiteWave’s Chairman and CEO. Gregg lives in Cherry Hills Village, CO with his wife Molly and four daughters, ages 10, 7, 5 and 3. Gregg also serves on the Board of Trustees at Dartmouth College and on the Board of Directors of the Grocery Manufacturers Association. He previously served on the Boards of Treehouse Foods (NYSE: THS), The Hockaday School, Dallas, Texas. Southwestern Medical Foundation, Dallas, TX, The Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, Dallas, TX and as Chairman of the Tate Lecture Series at SMU, Dallas, TX. Gregg received his Bachelor’s Degree at Dartmouth College in 1979 and his law degree at Yale University in 1982. From 1982 to 1983 Gregg clerked for Judge Anthony Kennedy in Sacramento, California before moving to Dallas, Texas to begin his business career.
