Gasol helps Memphis On the road again beat New Orleans By CLAY BAILEY Associated Press

MEMPHIS (AP) — Marc Gasol’s 10th rebound for Memphis went to a spot New Orleans couldn’t get to in time. With 3.5 seconds remaining, Gasol tapped Courtney Lee’s missed free throw toward midcourt. With no Peli- cans around, New Orleans could only watch until the horn sounded, leaving the Grizzlies with a 101-99 victory Mon- day. “Sometimes, you just get a bad bounce,” said Jrue Holiday, who led the Pelicans with 23 points and nine assists. “It looked like it was a bad bounce, and, from there, it’s tough.” Gasol, Lee, Matt Barnes and Jeff Green had 16 points apiece for Mem- phis, which has won three in a row and five of six. Mike Conley added 15 points and 10 assists. Anthony Davis had 21 points, eight re- bounds and three blocks, and Ryan An- derson scored 14 points for New Orleans. The tight matinee featured 18 lead changes and 14 ties. “I don’t think we played great, but I thought we played well enough,” Mem- phis coach Dave Joerger said. Midrange jumpers from Holiday and Norris Cole helped the Pelicans to an 80-75 lead in the fourth quarter. But Memphis answered with a 10-1 run, in- cluding four points from Barnes. Barnes had 12 points in the fourth, but New Orleans stayed close. Holiday’s layup with 4.6 seconds left made it 100- 99, setting the stage for Lee’s final free throw and Gasol’s rebound. OVERTON COUNTY — It was a spooky hit among residents of Overton County... and be- yond. “When you have more than 5,000 people on your town square, that’s amazing — but I’m hoping it increases to 100,000!” Rita Reagan- Underhill, director of marketing and tourism for the Livingston-Overton County Chamber of Commerce, said of the county’s newest fes- tival, Fall-O-Ween, held last Halloween. “Everybody from the grandparents down to the little kids — the whole community — was having one big celebration together. And peo- ple are still talking about it. I run into people everywhere who say they’re looking forward to next year.” And so is Reagan-Underhill, who said she hopes the free festival will become “the great- est family-fun event in the region,” adding to the rise in tourism in Overton County. The county just got its direct tourism expen- diture numbers back from the state department of tourism for 2014, which had gone up to $7.36 million from 2013’s $7.19 million. In 2012, the number had been $6.91 million. We can do it all there at the park.” Elsewhere in the county, music is also high- lighted at the Jammin’ at Hippie Jack’s Amer- icana Music Festival in May and September and Muddy Roots Music Festival in Septem- ber.
