Meitheal Child & Family Support Network Areas
Each of the Geographic areas in South Dublin County are covered by an individual Child & Family Support Network Co-ordinator, providing signposting, local area responses for children and families in need of preventative or early intervention support, and facilitating Meitheals for children and families who are not receiving support from the Social Work Services in Tusla.

South Dublin County Duty Social Work Teams
Dublin South West & Dublin South Central have Assessment Teams for child protection and welfare referrals. Teams are available by phone to answer any queries that the community may have about children at potential risk of harm or not having their needs met during this time. Children in Care teams, Fostering Teams and After Care service continue to provide support to the children in care or aftercare, and their carers.

Additional Tusla Local Supports
Tusla Prevention, Partnership & Family Support Service continues to provide outreach support, both by Family Support Service, Tusla Domestic Violence Support and also through the Child & Family Support Network Co-ordinators, also known as Meitheal Co-ordinators.

Tusla also provide a Domestic Violence Support service (087)9144625 Dublin South West Only) for victims of domestic violence referred to Tusla with concerns of domestic violence for assistance with risk assessment, safety planning, and signposting to our local domestic violence service Saoirse Domestic Violence Service based in Tallaght and Rathcoole (4630000).
