Are you eligible for £140 off your electricity bill?

You may be eligible for a £140 rebate from your electricity supplier if in your household: • Someone receives the Guarantee Credit element of Pension Credit (even if you get Savings Credit as well) OR • The annual income is less than £16,090 or there is a means tested benefit, e.g. Income Support, Income-based Job Seekers Allowance, Income-based Employment and Support Allowance, Universal Credit • AND there is a vulnerability, e.g. young children in the household, disability, over 62

What you need to do If you receive the Guarantee Credit element of Pension Credit, your £140 rebate should be paid automatically as the Department of Work and Pensions and energy suppliers are working together to deliver the discount. If you do not fit this category or are unsure you can call your electricity supplier to find out if you are eligible and apply. See the details on the back of this sheet, check your suppliers’ website or contact us on 0800 870 8800.

Energy suppliers participating in the scheme Electricity suppliers involved in this scheme include: Avro, Boost, British Gas, Bulb, E, EDF, E.ON, Green Network, Green Star, npower, Octopus Energy, OVO, Powershop, Sainsbury’s, Scottish Gas, Scottish Hydro, Scottish Power, Shell Energy, So Energy, Southern Electric, Spark, SSE, Utilita, and Utility Warehouse.

Some suppliers provide the discount to Pension Credit customers only, including: Angelic Energy, Beam, Bristol, Citizen, Ebico, Ecotricity, Green, iSupply, Robin Hood Energy

Cold Weather Payment and Winter Fuel Payment Discounts paid under the Warm Home Discount Scheme will not affect any Cold Weather Payment or Winter Fuel Payment you may receive.
