Yulia’s engagement methods support an effective, well-informed decision making process based on active participation. She employs a multi-disciplinary approach, integrating current best practices in marketing and communications to help build a bridge between technical experts and the broader public. She designs processes that help build common ground by promoting understanding and building trust, and highlighting the value and responsibilities of different players in the decision- making process.

Yulia also co-teaches engagement and facilitation courses at the University of Scarborough, , and . She is a board member of the Political Science Alumni Association at the and an active member the Political Science Alumni Mentorship Program.

Marketing Consultant, The Donnée Group (2010-12) Previously, Yulia specialized in Print and Digital Direct Response marketing working on projects for some of the largest Canadian non-profit organizations, such as Green Peace and Prostate Cancer Canada. Her main responsibilities included creating marketing strategy based on her clients’ previous and ongoing monthly and annual campaign performance, creating and adjusting annual marketing budgets, advising and revising clients’ annual and long-term strategic goals. In addition, she worked extensively with designers and copywriters to create a strong marketing product with compelling content and effective packaging.
