Q: When does the admission process start in the Hamdard University? Ans: When the admission process starts, it is announced on Hamdard University website and advertised in all the major national newspapers. Normally, admissions activity commences in the month of November for Spring Session and May for Fall session Admissions.

Q: Does the Hamdard University allow the students to apply for admission whose final result has not been announced? Ans: Hamdard University allows the students to apply for admission whose final results have not been announced subject to the condition that they have no deficiency in the previous years of their academic career. The admission may be conditional pending submission of the required results.

Q: Is the Hamdard University aptitude test compulsory for every student seeking admission in Hamdard University? Ans: If you have a SAT I scores exceeding 1900 / GMAT scores exceeding 600, then you are exempted from the Hamdard University Undergraduate, Graduate and Postgraduate admissions test respectively, however you have to pay the application processing fee and obtain the admit card and you have to go through the interview process.

Eligibility Criteria

Q: What are the minimum academic requirements (Eligibility) for Hamdard University admissions? Ans: Following are the minimum requirements for Hamdard University Admissions: Undergraduate Programs

Faculty of Health and Medical Science  MBBS (5 Years)  BDS (4 Years) For Local Students: Intermediate science (pre-medical) examination with at least 60% marks in aggregate (unadjusted) from a board of intermediate or higher secondary education of Pakistan in or before the year 2017 or those who have passed any other examination of foreign university, examination body which in scope and standard is found equivalent to intermediate science (pre-medical) recognized by Hamdard University. Provincial MCAT entry test mandatory For Foreign Students: As per the requirement of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, overseas students should have: Three science subjects. Biology and Chemistry are essential subjects. The third science subject could be Physics or Mathematics. A score of minimum 550 marks in each subject, (Chemistry, Biology, Physics/Mathematics) in SAT II. A valid TOEFL or IELTS with a score of 500 or 5.5 respectively.

Q: Is Hamdard University recognized by HEC? Ans: Yes. All degree programs are recognized by HEC.

Q: Is Hamdard University a Private Sector or Public Sector University? Ans: Hamdard University is a Private Sector University.

Q: Does the University follow an open policy in awarding admissions? Ans: Yes, university offers open merit admissions. There is no quota system except for DAE candidates wanting admission in undergraduate engineering disciplines.

Q: Can I apply using the paper application? Ans: We only accept applications submitted electronically. This allows us to process your application more quickly. It also keeps you informed of the status of your application throughout the process by checking it online.

Q: How do I create an account? Ans: An online application account can be created through the Hamdard University website i.e. https://admission.hamdard.edu.pk/.To create an online application account with the Hamdard University Online Application Portal, you are required to have a valid contact number and valid email address. Please use your Yahoo, Hotmail or Gmail account to create your online application account. Applicants are advised to have at least two active email addresses so that in case of any problem with their email account they can still correspond with the Hamdard University Office of Admissions through their second address. It is advised to create only One Account for the online application submission.

Q: Why do I need to list all schools I have attended? Ans: It's important for us to get a complete and accurate picture of your academic history. Failure to list and submit transcripts from all institutions previously attended is considered to be a violation of academic ethics and may result in the cancellation of your admission or dismissal from the university.

Q: I uploaded my Mark sheets to my application; do I still need to mail copies to the Hamdard University Admissions Office? Ans: Yes, official copies of Mark sheets are required. Uploading copies of your Mark sheets with your application will help expedite the review of your application. However, all Mark sheets uploaded by applicants are considered “unofficial” copies. Your admission decision may be delayed if you do not submit official copies of your Mark sheets.

Q: Are there application processing charges? Ans: Yes, there is an online application processing fee i.e. Rs 1500.

Q: How can I submit the application processing and test fee (if applicable)? Ans: After the successful submission of the online application form you will be able to print a system generated Application Processing Payment Voucher. Please print the fee voucher for making payments to any UBL Branch.

Q: Can I submit the application after the deadline? Ans: No, the online application system will automatically stop working after the deadline; therefore, we encourage you to submit your application well before the deadline in order to avoid any inconvenience.

Q: If I send my supporting documents late, will it negatively impact my application? Ans: Admission to the programs is competitive. It is in your best interest to apply and submit all of the required documents early. Please make sure that you review the deadline submission date for your program of choice.

Q: Is it possible to make changes to the online application after submitting it? Ans: No, you can't make changes to the application once it is submitted; therefore, you are advised to fill out your application carefully.

Q: How do I know if my application was submitted? Ans: When the application is submitted you will also receive an email and sms notifying you that your application has been submitted. At that time, you can continue to check the status of your application through your Online Application Account.
