Free & easy activity. DAY 2 TAIPEI - NANTOU (B/L/D) • Breakfast at the hotel & check out a hotel in Taoyuan. Departure Dates: 12 Aug | 09 Sep 2019 • The tour begins with visit to Yangmingshan National Park, nestled amongst mountainous scenery and luscious forests. As the area is rich in sulphur, mining operations previously operated in the area. All mining operations have been shut down due to environmental effects and visitors can check out the decommissioned mines at Liuhuanggu Sulfur Valley Geothermal Scenic Area or Xiayoukeng (only 1 will visit). With its growth as a centre for sulphur mining, many Han Chinese began moving to the area to cultivate tea plantations and other agricultural products, and today, wide-scale agriculture has been replaced by more boutique-style agriculture with a tourism focus at Yangmin Park. • Then, transfer to Taiyi Leisure Farm at Nantou where you will enjoy a park tour and DIY handicraft activity here. • Dinner at local restaurant & check in a hotel in Nantou. Departure Dates: 22 Oct 2019 • The tour begins with visit to Yangmingshan National Park, nestled amongst mountainous scenery and luscious forests. Each season brings different type of beauty & place to be visited at this national park. • Then, transfer to Taiyi Leisure Farm at Nantou where you will enjoy a park tour and DIY handicraft activity here. • Dinner at local restaurant & check in a hotel in Nantou. DAY 3 NANTOU - TAICHUNG (B/L/D) • Breakfast at the hotel & check out a hotel in Nantou. • Head to Shuishe Pier for scenic boat tour along Taiwan’s largest natural lake, Sun Moon Lake. This picturesque lake gets its name from its shape, the eastern side of Sun Moon Lake is said to resemble the sun, while the western side resembles the moon. Enjoy tranquillity of the lake with mountainous landscape of Nantou. • Then, visit CheCheng, a rustic little railway station & village which has been operated for almost a century. • After lunch, transfer to Taichung and visit Rainbow Village, a veteran village with vibrant murals of animals, dolls and Chinese mythological creatures, all painted by a veteran soldier. • Evening, head to Fengjia Night Market, the biggest and interesting night market in Taiwan for a shopping experience. • Dinner at local restaurant & check in a hotel in Taichung. DAY 4 TAICHUNG - TAIPEI (B/L/D) • Breakfast at the hotel & check out a hotel in Taichung. • Transfer to Taipei and visit Taipei Grand Mosque, the largest mosque in Taiwan & centre of worship for Taipei’s Muslim community. • Then, visit Chiang-Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, the prominent historical landmark in Taiwan, erected in honor and memory of the former President of the Republic of China. • Next, visit Taipei 101, the landmark supertall skyscraper in Taiwan. • Evening, transfer to Ximending. Known as “The "Harajuku" of Taipei, this pedestrian shopping haven is one of the city's culture centres. Overnight in Taipei. • Dinner at local restaurant & check in a hotel in Taipei.
