Shortly before the turn of the 20th century, a man by the name of J.E. PORTER was solidifying the newest division of his business. Mr. Porter had recently begun supplying a line of gymnasium equipment to YMCAs, after originally developing his own line of hayloft equipment for farmers in rural America. As Porter was busy promoting his gymnasium equipment, another man by the name of JAMES NAISMITH was dreaming up a new game called Basket Ball.
