Citi Appoints Rimi Yoshida as Game and Internet Sector Analyst

Tokyo, Japan – Citi announced today that it has hired Rimi Yoshida from Barclays as an equity analyst covering the game and internet sector.

Before joining Citi, Yoshida was an equity analyst covering the retail sector since 2015. Previously, she as an equity analyst at from 2012 and Merrill Lynch from 2005, covering a wide range of sectors, including games and internet, retail, and electronics. She was ranked among the top group in the entertainment and software industry in the Institutional Investor poll in 2011. Yoshida graduated from Tokyo University with a B.A. in Education in 2003, and worked for Mizuho as a loan officer. She became an equity analyst upon moving to Merrill Lynch.

Citi is strengthening its corporate and institutional businesses in Japan through strategic hiring. In April, Citi appointed Yusuke Asai, a former banker, as Head of , and hired Katsuhiko Aiba, who was formerly at the Bank of Japan, as an economist. In May, Citi hired Takashi Hashimoto and Ryota Himeno as senior equity analysts, and Jon Omori as Head of Equity Execution Services, from Barclays. With the addition of Yoshida, Citi intends to further enhance its capabilities to better serve corporate and institutional clients across Japan.
