On Tuesday the Y7 students from Chesil and Purbeck visited Carey Camp Outdoor Education Centre. They completed 10 complex challenges including a rope swing and orienteering, helping develop their resilience and ability to communicate as part of a team. SPORTNEWS Year 7 girls football tournament, Arnewood elite coaching, strength and conditioning work as well as top quality fi xtures. The U15’s start The year 7 girls football team travelled to their fi xture programme against Bournemouth Arnewood on Monday night to participate Rugby Club, Friday 11th November at 6.30pm in a friendly 6 a side tournament. The girls played 4 matches, drawing 3 and losing 2-0 to the eventual winners Highcliffe. The girls showed brilliant attitudes and confi dence in all games. Overall the girls came fourth out of 10 teams. Well done girls!

U13 + U15 BCSWA Bath Rugby

We are proud to announce that we are once again teaming up with Bournemouth Collegiate school to run a U13/U15 boys rugby academy. Excitingly Bath Rugby club are also joining us in this partnership. The programme will give between 30-40 boys an opportunity to receive DATES FOR YOUR DIARY

UNIVERSITY TRIP Organised to broaden the horizons of Grammar Stream pupils, this fi rst whole class university trip saw the year 8 Grammar Stream developing a soft drink and accompanying marketing materials. The girls learned about branding, marketing and a little on design whilst benefi tting from a tour of the University and the excellent knowledge of our hosts. The year 8 Grammar Stream boys will be attending soon and look forward to their trip!

J.P. MORGAN LEST WE CHALLENGE FORGET

The Year 8 and 10 STEM programme ARMISTICE DAY. students have reached the fi nal of the Eleventh hour of the J.P. Morgan School Challenge Eleventh day of the Programme. Eleventh month. The aim was to design a sustainable device or system to recycle waste products from everyday life. GW students will present their prototypes to a panel of judges at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on December 13th. All students will receive the prestigious Bronze CREST Award for their efforts. ENGLISH LECTURES We held our second English Lecture on Monday 31st October and had a fantastic turn-out of students, parents and carers. The focus this month was on ‘An Inspector Calls’ by J.B. Priestley, a text that year 11 students are Scholars’ Club currently studying as part of their English Literature GCSE.
