Student Matinee Series Maurice Hines is Tappin’ Thru Life Study Guide Created by Miller Grove High School Drama Class of Joyce Scott As part of the Alliance Theatre Institute for Educators and Teaching Artists’ Dramaturgy by Students Under the guidance of Teaching Artist Barry Stewart Mann Maurice Hines is Tappin’ Thru Life was produced at the Arena Theatre in Washington, DC, from Nov. 15 to Dec. 29, 2013 The Alliance Theatre Production runs from April 2 to May 4, 2014 The production will travel to Beverly Hills, California from May 9-24, 2014, and to the Cleveland Playhouse from May 30 to June 29, 2014. Reviews Keith Loria, on theatermania.com, called the show “a tender glimpse into the Hineses’ rise to fame and a touching tribute to a brother.” Benjamin Tomchik wrote in Broadway World, that the show “seems determined not only to love the audience, but to entertain them, and it succeeds at doing just that! While Tappin' Thru Life does have some flaws, it's hard to find anyone who isn't won over by Hines showmanship, humor, timing and above all else, talent.” In The Washington Post, Nelson Pressley wrote, “’Tappin’ is basically a breezy, personable concert. The show doesn’t flinch from hard-core nostalgia; the heart-on-his-sleeve Hines is too sentimental for that. It’s frankly schmaltzy, and it’s barely written — it zips through selected moments of Hines’s life, creating a mood more than telling a story. it’s a pleasure to be in the company of a shameless, ebullient vaudeville heart.” Maurice Hines Is .

  • Cast Biographies RILEY KEOUGH (Christine Reade) PAUL SPARKS
Cast Biographies RILEY KEOUGH (Christine Reade) Riley Keough, 26, is one of Hollywood’s rising stars. At the age of 12, she appeared in her first campaign for Tommy Hilfiger and at the age of 15 she ignited a media firestorm when she walked the runway for Christian Dior. From a young age, Riley wanted to explore her talents within the film industry, and by the age of 19 she dedicated herself to developing her acting craft for the camera. In 2010, she made her big-screen debut as Marie Currie in The Runaways starring opposite Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning. People took notice; shortly thereafter, she starred alongside Orlando Bloom in The Good Doctor, directed by Lance Daly. Riley’s memorable work in the film, which premiered at the Tribeca film festival in 2010, earned her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the Milan International Film Festival in 2012. Riley’s talents landed her a title-lead as Jack in Bradley Rust Gray’s werewolf flick Jack and Diane. She also appeared alongside Channing Tatum and Matthew McConaughey in Magic Mike, directed by Steven Soderbergh, which grossed nearly $167 million worldwide. Further in 2011, she completed work on director Nick Cassavetes’ film Yellow, starring alongside Sienna Miller, Melanie Griffith and Ray Liota, as well as the Xan Cassavetes film Kiss of the Damned. • Why YOU Should Be an English Major
Why YOU should be an English Major You’ll be able to communicate your ideas effectively. This is what employers want the most – people who can communicate clearly. Impress your employer with your ability to communicate, and you’ll get promoted. You’ll also sound smarter than everybody else. You’ll be able to learn new tasks and ideas. A liberal arts education teaches you how to learn, not how to do a specific job. Your employer will provide on-the-job training. Besides, the hot jobs of 20 years from now haven’t even been thought of yet; major in English, learn how to learn new job skills, and stay employed. You’ll be prepared for med school, law school, business school… Being an English major teaches you how to think critically. Graduate schools in every field are more interested in your ability to analyze situations and make connections between concepts than in your ability to memorize lists. You’ll get a good job. Major scientific, technological, industrial, and financial companies like to hire English majors. They want employees who can analyze problems, think up creative answers, and communicate those answers to coworkers. And an English degree teaches you to do all these things. You’ll earn lots of money. Well, maybe not as much as science graduates, but the 201 201 Payscale College Salary Report listed salaries for popular careers for English majors that ranged from $ to $ . 5- 6 40,000 76,000 You’ll move up the company ladder. Your English major taught you how to analyze problems, think creatively, synthesize intelligent solutions, and communicate those solutions to your bosses and coworkers.

IMTA ALUM GARRETT HEDLUND IN TRIPLE FRONTIER IMTA Press Release March 5, 2019 Triple Frontier opens in limited theatrical release Wednesday, March 6, and begins streaming on Netflix Wednesday, March 13. “Back in Minnesota, one of the only ways you could leave the farm was through sport. That’s why everybody in the Midwest—or at least where I grew up—is a triathlete. We all just wanted to get out. But for me, the way to get out was acting.” — Garrett Hedlund Triple Frontier centers on a group of former Special Forces operatives who reunite to plan a heist in a sparsely populated multi-border zone of South America. For the first time in their prestigious careers these unsung heroes undertake this dangerous mission for self instead of country. While each of them has served the U.S. in multiple operations— and been wounded as a reward—they still don't have the money to put kids in college, so a new plan dangles that money in front of their faces. But when events take an unexpected turn and threaten to spiral out of control, their skills, their loyalties and their morals are pushed to a breaking point in an epic battle for survival. IMTA alum Garrett Hedlund stars in Triple Frontier alongside Ben Affleck, Oscar Isaac, Charlie Hunnam, Adria Arjona and Pedro Pascal. The film is directed by Academy Award nominee J.C. Chandor and co-written by Chandor and Academy Award winner Mark Boal. The action feature is set to join the exclusive group of Netflix original films that get a theatrical release in select theaters before premiering on the streaming service.
