Vacancy Description

You will be working with NKDC contractors on various projects and contracts in the local area. You will attend college one day a week for theory classes and practical sessions. Where any gaps in the contractual work arise then you would undertake relevant duties at the college construction centre. Comply with all health and safety rules both on-site and while working at college. Wearing of appropriate PPE at all times. Liaising with the college regarding workplace assessments. Maintaining a detailed workplace log of all activities that can be utilised as evidence of learning. Able to communicate effectively between college, NKDC and contractor.

Important Other Information

The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £2.65 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training. You will be working on NKDC contracts in the area of and surrounding locality for the duration of the Apprenticeship programme. You will work at Grantham College Construction Centre if breaks in these contracts arise.
