1:1 iPad program: Students will be issued an iPad at the beginning of the year. The school was the first in Northeast Florida to have introduced a 1:1 iPad program in 2013.

Academic Services: The school utilizes Cambridge Network's academic services to offer support geared towards the unique needs of international students. This cooperation enables students to improve their English skills and academic performance while also improving chances of getting accepted into top colleges and universities. Programs are available for students of all English levels. The College Prep and Language Culture (CPLC) program includes: onsite and online versions of Cambridge Network’s uniquely designed course to help students adjust to American educational requirements while simultaneously improving English proficiency, honors programs targeting advanced writing and college entrance techniques, and bilingual TOEFL/SAT test prep. Our teachers are trained to work onsite or remotely to ensure student support and optimal performance. One-on-one tutoring from highly-qualified instructors is also available in all subjects. An ongoing commitment to technology and the fine arts is realized in multi-million dollar improvements to the Learning Commons and Performing Arts Center during the past three years.

Student Awards & Honors • Class of 2019 had 4 students recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program. • Class of 2019 was awarded $13 million in scholarships. The class had 284 graduates. • At the International Science and Fair, a Bishop Kenny student placed 4th in the category of Robotics and Intelligent Machines, winning a scholarship and large cash prize. The ISEF STEM event attracts 1,800 high school students from around the world.

Robotics Team The purpose of the Robotics Team is to increase analytical and programming skills through the use of artificial intelligence utilizing club- fabricated robots. Students participate in regional competitions and can qualify for competition on the international level.

Teacher Profile • Mrs. Schmitt teaches Honors and AP Chemistry at the school. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Florida, and she is bilingual in English and Spanish. She is a AP Reader, meaning that she evaluates and scores the free-response sections of the AP Chemistry exams, giving her insight into how tests are scored and what the AP test requires.
