Beginning in Literary Luminaries 2002, the Chicago Tribune and CHF collab- orated on the presentation and production to the Festival of the Chicago Tribune Literary Prize and its Heartland Awards for Fiction and Nonfiction. The inaugural literary prize winner was the acclaimed playwright Arthur Miller.
