BOB KELLY Page 4 Official Newsletter of the Independent Sports Club of Central Illinois November 2014 ISC Junior Golfer Award Outstanding Youth Athlete With the help of ISC Board member Greg Stewart and Peoria Journal Star Sportswriter Bo Ryan, the 2014 Andy Paul Peoria Men’s City Outstanding Junior Golfer was awarded to Farming - ton High’s Nate Monroe at the Peoria Men’s City golf tournament held at Kellogg Golf Course the first week of August. Nate, a senior at Farmington, was off the radar and did not make the pre-tournament list of potential Outstanding Junior Golfers compiled by Greg and Bo. He shot 85 in qualifying and was placed as the 21st seed in A Flight. Nate won his first 4 matches 4&3, 6&5, 2 Up, and 1 Up placing him in the championship match. Nate won the A Flight Championship taking 19 holes to beat his opponent. Congrats to Nate for a GREAT week of golf at complishments including several Caterpillar championships and the Men’s City. Nate participated in the IHSA 1A State tourna - successfully qualifying in six National Publinks events. Andy is ment and finished 52nd, at 81-170.
