Saturday 24th______Attention Standardized testing begins this week. All students will be observing a basic finals schedule ending the school day at 2:15 PM. Students! Enrollment for Drivers Education ends May 1st. Students who still need to sign up come to the Career Center. This is a virtual class and students must be at least 15 years old.

Our LAST BLOOD DRIVE of the school year will be Tuesday the 27th of April. If you are not 18 you need to get parental consent prior to donating. Parental consent forms and sign-up sheets are in the library.

Redding Recreation’s Summer 2021 Activity Guide has just been published online with some really exciting news. The big theme of this issue is Water Safety, and as things are finally starting to open back up, we feel this is more important than ever. Applications are open to any senior enrolled in an instrumental music course and are due by Friday May 7th to the Counseling Office. Attention seniors! Please check your fees and fines page in Aeries, the end of the school year is fast approaching. If you have fees to take care of, don’t wait, come to the library to get them straightened out.

Attention seniors! The Rotary Club of Redding West is giving away two $1,000 scholarships for post-secondary enrollment in and Industry Certification Program, preferable at a technical school or a Community College Certificate Program. Open to any 12th grader who has completed CTE pathway. Application window is March 1st to April 30th. Fliers and applications are in the Career Center or you can email [email protected]. Shasta Builder’s Exchange presentations April 19th and 20th in room 310 (Mr. Bonanno) 4/19 12:35 to 1:35 PM & 4/20 from 9:10 or 10:20 or 11:20 AM. This presentation is for seniors interested in a career in plumbing, electrical or HVAC. Contact Mrs. Liapis in the Career Center or Mr. Bonanno in room 310 for more information or to sign-up. State Testing is also going on during some of these time frames so students are reminded that testing is a priority and should sign up to attend these presentations accordingly. Opportunities CASC: We are currently accepting applications for the CASC Region One Cabinet. CASC ( Association of Student Councils) is a nonprofit organization devoted to teaching leadership skills, life skills, and advocacy to youth across California. As a member of the Region One Cabinet, you will represent the students of Northern California at conferences where you have the opportunity to write and pass bills regarding your education. You will plan and execute two conferences throughout the school year and learn tons of skills that will help you initiate your own personal projects and enhance your community.
