Every year an innovative initiative is taken by the college to celebrate the spirit of empowered women who empower others. This year three initiatives have been taken. Reviving the indigenous tradition of the earthen water pots, drinking water has been provided in the earthen pots for the wayfarers who happen to pass by the college premises. Secondly, keeping with the spirit of Dr S. Radhakrishnan, an effort has been made to sensitize students towards the needs of the fellow students who find it difficult to buy books and to motivate them to drop a rupee a day in the “Prayas” box for book bank. Every month a new motivating slogan will be put up on the HMV Chowk to sensitize the community about social issues.HMV continues to innovate to become a fair land of equal opportunities.
