Geological Survey of Japan (GSJ) and Kasetsart University (KU) Workshop for Application of Ground Source Heat Pump System Kasetsart University, 3rd March, 13:30 ~ 17:00 Lecture hall: 9201, 2nd Floor, Civil Building (Building no.9) Faculty of Engineering, Kasestsart University

Synopsis Ground source heat pump (GSHP) system and energy piles have recently been proposed as a promising way of using shallow geothermal energy resource in air conditioning system for heating building in temperate countries and for cooling buildings in the tropics which can improve energy efficiency and reduce the heat island phenomena. Timely adoption of such innovative technology will likely lead the real estate developers to the forefront of green building certification such as LEED or TREES. This workshop is aimed at disseminating the knowledge of ground source heat pump research over decades in Japan and recent development of energy piles in Thailand to the public.
