Today we will be learning about word classes. You will then be applying this understanding by writing a word bank for your Egyptian god/goddess.

Spelling Complete the uploaded spelling challenge. These are different for year 5, 6 and the small hall group.

Small hall group will be focusing on recognising the ‘u’ sound spelt ‘ou’.

Y5 will be focusing on investigating the word endings ‘ant, ance and ancy’.

Y6 will be focusing on investigating the prefix, ‘auto’.

Reading (linked with Religious Education) I would like you to read the story of Moses (either via the PDF or PowerPoint) and answer the questions at the end of the story.

These questions mainly focus on retrieval of information skills. The last question is a prediction question for you to use your knowledge to predict what might have happened next.

Using your understanding from the story of Moses and the Ten Commandments that God gave Moses (today’s reading challenge), create your own Ten Commandments or rules/laws that you think everyone should have to follow that would help us live in a peaceful and friendly world.
