ACT GROUP

/founded in 2013/ Mission ACT Group is consortium made of organizations and individuals dedicated to promotion, development and improvement of socially responsible behaviour and entrepreneurship1, social2 and solidarity economy3, social entrepreneurship4 and civil society5. 1 Corporate Social Responsibility is a concept in which companies integrate care about society and the environment in their business and in relations with their stakeholders on a voluntary basis. Being socially responsible means not only meet legal obligations, but beyond that, invest in human capital, the environment and relations with stakeholders. Investing in technologies that are not environmentally harmful can contribute to competitiveness of enterprises. In the social sphere, investment in education, working conditions and adoption of good relations with employees can also contribute to productivity. On the other hand, in countries where there are no regulations at all, such a practice can lead to the adoption of a legal framework for socially responsible practice. Teo Petričević (from Lidija Pavić-Rogošić lecture, ODRAZ) - president 2 The social economy is a part of the economy that neither belongs in the public or private sector neither is a profit the main objective. (CIRIEC, 1997) 3 The solidarity economy can be seen a) as part of the “third sector” in which economic activity is aimed at expressing practical solidarity with disadvantaged groups of people, which contrasts with the private sector, where economic activity is aimed at generating profits, and the public sector, where economic activity is directed at public policy objectives, or b) as a struggle seeking to build an economy and culture of solidarity beyond capitalism in the present. (Wikipedia) 4 Social entrepreneurship are business ventures based on the principles of socially, environmentally and economically sustainable management, directed toward making the profit, which is wholly or partly reinvested for the benefit of the community. (Social Entrepreneurship Development Strategy, Republic of 2014-2020) 5 Civil society is defined as the domain of institutions, organizations, networks and individuals (and their values) located between the family, the state and the market, bond together by a number of civil rules that they share, and in which people associate voluntarily to advocate common interests. (Revija za socijalnu politiku 1-3 2003; Bežovan) Vision (Self)sustainable local community.
