Diver of the Year (2010) after claiming her second-consecutive NCAA title in the 1-Meter and runner-up honors in the 3-Meter. • Established herself as possibly the greatest female student-athlete in the storied history of Cougar athletics. • Set a school record in 2003 by winning her fourth and fifth NCAA individual national championships. • Holds more C-USA Athlete of the Week honors for diving than any other C- • Won 64 of the 66 collegiate diving events in which she entered as a Cougar with the only losses coming during USA student-athlete in conference history (19). the finals of the NCAA Championship.

HISTORY/RECORDS One of the most legendary figures in Houston athletics history, diver Yulia Pakhalina was a five-time NCAA National Champion. In both 2001 and 2003, Pakhalina was victorious in the 1-meter and 3-meter dives and was named NCAA Diver of the Year. Pakhalina also won five Olympic medals, including a Gold in Sydney in 2000. 38

HISTORY/RECORDS Though just a freshman, Sharo Rodriguez made a big splash in her first trip to the American Championships in 2015. The Queretaro, Mexico native grabbed All-Conference honors by swimming a season-best 1:59.60 in the 200-yard buterfly. After a strong showing at the Mexican National Meet over the summer, Rodriguez went on to represent Mexico and UH at the 2015 FINA World Championships in Kazan, Russia. 52
