STANDING COMMITTEE ON HOUSE SERVICES Wednesday, August 31, 2016
MINUTE NO. 3 11:31 a.m. — māmawapiwin náyati room (Room 8)
1. Present: Mr. Speaker in the chair and members Hon. Jeremy Harrison, Greg Lawrence, Warren McCall, Hon. Paul Merriman, and Kevin Phillips.
2. The Speaker advised that pursuant to rule 139(1) the government caucus has designated Greg Lawrence to replace Hon. Ken Cheveldayoff as a member of the Standing Committee on House Services.
3. It was moved by the Hon. Mr. Merriman:
That the Standing Committee on House Services steering committee membership be comprised of Hon. Mr. Speaker, Mr. Warren McCall, and Hon. Mr. Paul Merriman.
The question being put, it was agreed to.
4. The committee considered changes to membership on standing committees pursuant to rule 139(4)(a).
5. It was moved by the Hon. Mr. Merriman:
That the name of Hugh Nerlien be substituted for the name of Greg Brkich on the Standing Committee on Crown and Central Agencies.
The question being put, it was agreed to.
6. It was moved by the Hon. Mr. Merriman:
That the names of Steven Bonk, Bill Boyd, Greg Brkich, and Lori Carr be substituted for the names of David Buckingham, Larry Doke, Bronwyn Eyre, and Doug Steele on the Standing Committee on the Economy.
The question being put, it was agreed to.
7. It was moved by the Hon. Mr. Merriman:
That the names of David Buckingham and Mark Docherty be substituted for the names of Dan D’Autremont and Tina Beaudry-Mellor on the Standing Committee on Human Services.
The question being put, it was agreed to.
8. It was moved by the Hon. Mr. Merriman:
That the names of Greg Brkich, Nancy Heppner, Eric Olauson, and Doug Steele be substituted for the names of Lori Carr, David Marit, Warren Michelson, and Laura Ross on the Standing Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs and Justice.
The question being put, it was agreed to.

9. It was moved by the Hon. Mr. Merriman:
That the name of Greg Lawrence be substituted for the name of Ken Cheveldayoff on the Standing Committee on Privileges.
The question being put, it was agreed to.
10. It was moved by the Hon. Mr. Merriman:
That the names of Jennifer Campeau, Herb Cox, and Randy Weekes be substituted for the names of Tina Beaudry-Mellor, Steven Bonk, and Joe Hargrave on the Standing Committee on Public Accounts.
The question being put, it was agreed to.
11. The committee considered its third report. It was moved by the Hon. Mr. Merriman:
That the third report of the Standing Committee on House Services be adopted and filed with the Clerk pursuant to rule 136(6).
The question being put, it was agreed to.
12. It was moved by the Hon. Mr. Merriman:
That a subcommittee of the Standing Committee on House Services consisting of the Speaker, Mr. Warren McCall, and Hon. Mr. Merriman be appointed to study and make recommendations on revisions to the Rules and Procedures of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan.
The question being put, it was agreed to.
13. It was moved by Mr. Phillips:
That this committee do now adjourn.
