ITINERARY FOR PIONEER HISTORY/HEBER VALLEY RAILROAD October 13-15, 2017 Friday, October 13: 8:00 a.m. Meet at Vegas PBS, located at 3050 E. Flamingo Road (corner of Flamingo and McLeod). You may park in the studio lot, which will be lit and monitored throughout the weekend. After you arrive, please come in the front entrance to sign in. You will board the bus at 8:15 a.m.

8:30 a.m. Our deluxe motor coach departs for Provo, Utah. Please bring a sack lunch. You may also pick up lunch items at our St George stop. We will show a DVD en route. A lavatory is available on the bus.

11:30 p.m. (Mountain Daylight Time) We will make a rest stop in St. George, where you may purchase food and drink items and use the restroom. Board the bus at 12:30 p.m.

1:15 p.m. Arrive at Frontier Homestead State Park, where day-to-day life of the 1850s frontier is preserved and on display. More than just a museum, Frontier Homestead brings the original Cedar City colony back to life with a variety of hands-on activities throughout the historic grounds. Board the bus at 2:45 p.m.

6:00 p.m. Estimated arrival at Ramada Provo Town Centre (Phone: 801.374.9750) to check-in for your overnight stay. Hotel amenities include free Wi-Fi, an on-site steakhouse and a free breakfast buffet. Each room is non-smoking and includes 2 queen beds, a coffee/tea maker, microwave, mini-refrigerator and iron. Note: An elevator is not available at the hotel. Please contact Vegas PBS to request a first-floor room, if needed.

7:00 p.m. Enjoy a dinner buffet at Ruby River Steakhouse onsite at the hotel. The cost of the meal is included with your trip.

Saturday, October 14: 6:00 to 8:00 a.m. A complimentary hot breakfast buffet is served at the hotel.

8:00 a.m. Board the bus to Heber Valley Historic Railroad.

10:30 a.m. Arrive at Heber Valley Historic Railroad depot. Climb aboard our private car on the antique, diesel-powered Limited for a round-trip excursion. Railcars are not climate-controlled, so dress warm. Wind around the shores of Deer Creek Reservoir and travel along the banks of the . View the full fall colors on Mount Timpanogos and the dramatic, glacier-carved landscape of the Provo Canyon while watching for wildlife. Visit the dining car for lunch. The cost of the meal is included in the price of your trip. Stop at Vivian Park to stretch your legs next to the beautiful river before returning to the Heber Valley station. The roundtrip train ride is approximately three hours long. Restrooms are available on board.

2:30 p.m. Board the bus to the hotel in Park City.

3:15 p.m. Arrive at the Best Western Plus Landmark Inn (435.649.7300) for check-in and an overnight stay. Hotel amenities include an indoor heated pool and spa, a 24-hour convenience store and wireless internet access in public areas. Each room includes a coffee/tea maker, hairdryer, iron and television with complimentary HBO. Elevator access is available.

5:00 p.m. Board the bus to Park City’s historic Main Street with a variety of dining options, art galleries, spas and shopping. Dinner is not included in the price of your trip. Board the bus at 8:00 p.m. to return to the hotel.

Sunday, October 15 6:00 to 8:00 a.m. Enjoy a complimentary hot breakfast buffet at the hotel.

8:00 a.m. Board the bus.

11:30 a.m. Rest stop in Beaver, Utah. Buy food items and cold drinks and use the restroom. Please note lunch will be on your own at 1:30 p.m. Board the bus at noon.

1:30 p.m. Arrive at historic Ancestor Square in St. George for your choice of dining and shopping. Ancestor Square is home to six buildings with historic registry designations. Visit the city’s original jailhouse, the Sheriff’s home built in 1877 and one of the oldest buildings in St. George—the historic Gardeners Club building. Ancestor Square has five premier restaurants, world class art galleries and a variety of unique retails shops. Lunch is not included in the price of your trip. Board the bus at 3:30 p.m.
